Is a very very faint line still a positive?

Hi all

Im day 30 of my cycle and tested yest and got a faint line which to be honest i could only see when i squinted or looked at in a certain light

I did another this morning with FMU and again i can see a faint line but clearer than yesterday,its def there just faint.Im not sure when i ovulated.

What do you think-do you think ive got my BFP?

Hi all!

Only in my experience, a very very faint line, tht only shows when you tilt it in certain lines (and will not show on a camera if u try and take a pic) are not positives. I'm a little obsessed when it comes to testing, and honestly, ive had loads that look like they could be pos but they always turn out not to be. The ones ive had trouble with are the blue dye testers - especially clear blue. ive even had some really dark from clearblue which were actually negative as had my bloods done at the doctors so i know for sure.

i'l up load the pic so you can see for yourself how i was tricked into believing i was preg from a blue dye test.



saying all that - if you re testing with pink testers - id say there is every chance this faint faint line will get stronger and it could be your BFP

I know - and i had 4 that looked like that that month...i was convinced i was preg - but each time my doc tested in the surgery (with pink testers) they showed neg - so they done a blood test to make sure (as ive had previous ectopic so they want to monitor closely if and when i fall PG again)

the blood test was neg - and you cant argue with that can you? - well actually i did for a few dys until Af arrived, ha ha! I just found it really hard to believe when these tests looked so positive.

But ive had other non-branded blue tests that show like shadows of a line too...but think its just where the line would be, if it was positive if you get me...

I will never trust a blue dye tester again. x

I have heard a lot of sad stories about blue-dye tests!!

Is it a pink dye test??

If you have to hold it up to the light or have a light behind it I wouldnt take that as a positive yet....

Remember, if you start testing early you are very likely going to have a very very faint line to start.

I tested early all 3 pregnancies and got the very very faint lines. And the next day they were slightly darker but still very faint - thats when I would just stop testing. 2 tests confirming bfp is more than all you need to confirm it.

It was a pink dye one (thank god) and the line today with fmu was def more clear than yesterday (not fmu) so im taking that as a good sign.I will test again in the morning with FMU and let you know what that line is like!!

Hopefully you are pregnant, I had the same thing and others in another forum told me to re test in two days, it make sense as the level should double and it will be clear, so I will try tomorrow but for past two days very faint I thought I imagined it but had symptoms after my conception I just feel pregnant.

Oh and remember dont expect it to get really dark over the next few days if you are still testing - as long as its a clear line thats all that matters.

A pregnancy test is a simple yes or no, the darkness of the lines give no indication of anything!!

A line is a line, no matter how faint! (thats why its best to stop testing when you get your bfp!)

I bought 10 ICs and have 3 left so im gonna test for the next 3 mornings haha cant help myself!! haha

I will update you tomorrow when ive tested again,im still a little nervous with it been a faint line,i want it to be + so bad and dont wanna get too excited yet xx

even though its faint i would say yes that is a positive test especially since it's been darkening

yay! a line is a line keep testing using fmu, your hcg levels double every day.
