Is Cedric to old fashioned?

I really like the name Cedric for a boy lately. Its even replace Logan and Morgan, but then again I think Logan has gotten overly popular so I probably wouldn't of used it. What do you all think?

I don't think Cedric is old fashioned. I think of Cedric Diggory. I love Logan too though.

Agree with Emy much prefer it to Morgan and Logan. Has a completely different vibe to it, and goes well with your other children's names.

Roderick is awesome too. I knew a Roddy once. Great name!

On the roderick line... My dads name is Broderick, or Brod for short! I love it as it's very unique and still traditional! X

I am really not keen on it, I am in the minority and do think it's old fashioned, I was given an old fashioned name (Janet) and hate it so I am quite biased on these types of things. That being said everyone will always have an opinion and not everyone will like same names so if you love it then go for it!

This is true. I don't like popular names as I'm an Amy and it was highly popular whilst I was at school. Even in a class with 5 girls there was 2 Amy's! What were the chances of that! So I like unique names. Done ok with Ossian, but already met another Erika who will be in DD year at school.

Cedric is common in French, both here in French Canada and in France. Not old fashioned at all.

I like Cedric, gives me the same vibes as Cyril which I LOVE.

I've never cared for Logan at all, so I definitely prefer it to that!
