Is it normal...

So first off, hi, im Ashley, im new. lol. Im 15, and 17 weeks with my second baby, but my first baby was born Febuary 25th, we named him Tyler Deane. He passed away 3 days later after being born 3 months premature. His little heart and lungs werent fully delevoped because of some... massive mistakes i made in the first 4 months when i didnt know i was pregnant.

Anyway, so i had my second doctors appointment today, and at the first one she had said that since im young and since i lost tyler that shed want to see me every 2-4 weeks. Now today she told me that i only needed to come in every 2 months until 2 weeks before my due date. Is that normal? I know when i was pregnant with Tyler the first time i was in every few weeks. Im not sure, it just doesnt seem right to me.

it depends alot on where you are as to how often you get seen my the midwives or doctors and whether or not you are classed as a high or low risk pregnancy ... im low risk and live near glasgow in scotland, i generally see my midwife every 4 weeks, although now i have to see an obstetritian aswell i see her about every 3 weeks depending on when my obstetric appointments are because my MW is always there too

if your worried about anything though feel free to phone your midwife or doctor ... thats what he/she is there for after all !!!

it doesnt seem normal especially after what happen with ur first pregnancy and with your age.
i found out at 14+5 weeks
i was in every 2 weeks in the beginning and now every 4 weeks now.
and im now 28+3 weeks
i go in every 3 weeks if i have a scan but besides that it has been every 4 weeks

Hey congrats & welcome to BnB! ....I was seen every month until the 2 months and at that time it was every 2 weeks and then a month before it was every week! good luckkkkk! how old are you & where are you from?

at thee beginning i was going every 3 weeks and it went down a week when i entered the second trimester and then 4 weeks from my due date i started going in once a week... i think you should change OB's personally because they are supposed to have you registered as high risk ad shoul monitor you more closely.. or maybe your OB made a mistake.. ASK HER

Yeah im thinking ill talk to her at my next app. or call her up if i get to anxious and talk to her about how id like to go in more then just every 2 months.

thats super weird she would day come every 2 months
I went every month will i was 34 then every 2 weeks.
I would ask her about it for sure.

really sorry to hear about your loss as the other girls have said, the care you get depends on where you live, but I'd definitely talk to someone as every 2 months doesn't seem often enough x

Not weird to me!! I rarely see my midwife. I saw her today (16 weeks) and I won't see her again for another 9 weeks (25 weeks pregnant) I do have a scan between them at 20 weeks. But generally if things are going okay, they don't need to see you alot. If you are worried then of course call them up. But yeah it's completely normal, at least for me. i didn't see my midwife alot when I was pregnant with my first either. Ranged from 4 weeks apart to 8 weeks, I wouldn't worry.

I saw my MW roughly once every four weeks, until 28 weeks.
Now I see her every two weeks.

Thanks everyone for your help. I called my MWs office today, talked her assistant. Apparently she likes seeing all of her moms to be every 2 months because it raises less worries? (I think it raises more) I asked about coming in more often and was told that wouldnt be possible, so now im looking for a new one.
And yes, i will be finding out the sex as soon as i can!
