I asked a similar question the other day but didn't get any responses. I recently noticed a bump on my areola. I know montgomery glands are normal but this looks different. It's flat in appearance (but still raised) whereas the glands are more rounded. Also this one doesn't seem to change when I get cold. it's darker than the surrounding skin. Since I plan to breastfeed, I'm worried it could be some kind of wart. I have a wart on my hand right now so I do get them. And the next time I see my doctor will be when I'm having my baby so I'm hoping someone on here may know if this is even a possibility or not.

Could just be pregnancy skin tags? https://www.everydayhealth.com/skin-and-beauty/what-are-pregnancy-skin-tags.aspx

I've never heard of getting warts there, but I'd see your doc just to rule it out, vie heard of skin tags though, I think their more common during pregnancy too, but don't know how they look, hope everything is ok x

When pg with dd I had some what I call moles darken and get harder, when I asked doc about then afterwards she just said oh they're warts nothing to worry about!! This time round more have appeared and are more raised but are still warts including on my boobs and belly. As long as they don't hurt or weep I wouldn't wirry

Well the reason I'm worried about it being a wart is because I plan to BF and I don't want LO getting respiratory warts.

You can get skin tags on it and also genital warts. U need to make an appointment. A girl I rknew got them on her hoo ha. Down her throat and on her nips. But if u don't have genital warts. Its probably just a skin tag. Idk about other warts.

It's where warts grow on the larynx and it can obstruct the airways and require surgeries. From what I can tell, it's mainly passed from mother to baby if the mother has genital warts during delivery. But it's pretty rare. I'm just worried that LO's mouth having direct contact with a wart near my nipple would put her at risk.

I think genital warts are more contagious than normal warts. But maybe pop into docs n get checked to be on safe side.

Let me know how you get on, I'm quite concerned now
