Since lo has been weaning she has cut down on feeds, which I expected, I do offer throughout the day and she generally tends to suckle only if she's tired. She still wakes in the night but only really sucks for a minute and then flutter sucks, maybe as there isn't much milk?

I express milk for her breakfast and always used to get 2.5oz no problem, now it is such a struggle to get 1oz and takes at least 20 mins, I have always taken fenugreek so don't really know how to increase. She is sensitive to dairy so I'm concerned she isn't getting as much milk but also what she is going to have for breakfast if I don't have enough milk

I don't want to hijack your post but I'm having the same issue!! Have just started weaning but added to this we give my little one a bottle of formula before bed and for a dreamfeed (my lo has been doing the whole not seeming to drink much from me thing for a while so by giving her formula in the evening at least I knew she was getting a good feed in.) But my lo really doesn't seem to suck for long from me - she gets very distracted and although she'll latch on it never seems to be for long enough. She's obviously content but I worry that she's not getting enough milk...really don't want to stop breastfeeding altogether as I love it but it's just so hard not knowing how much she's taking in...added to this, she's going through the night without feeds sometimes, so I'm doubly worried that my milk's going to start drying up....

So, in answer, I can't help you but you're not alone!!!

you have to increase the stimulation if you want to increase milk supply hun so get your pump out more often during the day if LO isnt feeding as much and try giving her the milk in a cup

babyoh, get a pump and start expressing and giving that rather than FF in the evening and for dreamfeed it should help boost your supply a bit

I decided to try lo with a bit of formula in a bottle to see if she had outgrown her dairy sensitivity (it used to give her lots of wind) and to see if this was an option anyhow she screamed, heaved and refused point blank to take it, I also tried her with ebm in a bottle for bed and she did the same!

I really struggle with trying to pump as my lo has no routine so I never know if she is going to want what little I have and she will only take it from me, she won't take expressed
