is my wife pregnant again?

My wife had a D&C after an 18wk ectopic pregnancy. A week before her D&C we had unprotected sex. She hasn't had her period and it’s been 6 weeks since she had her D&C the doctor did an ultrasound and said she was pregnant again! We have not had any sex since her D&C. i don't understand how she could be pregnant. Is the doctor confused or is there a way she got pregnant during her ectopic pregnancy? could this be an hecteroctopic pregnancy or a superfoetation? I am aware that superfoetation is very rare and but I wonder if hecteroctopic pregnancies happen simultaneously only.
