So I had my 20 week scan wed and i have had a fairly normal pregnancy and ive never spotted except after an exam at 10 weeks I just went to the bathroom and there was blood on my undies and a lil when i wiped I know its normal early on but what about now ? Ive had alot more discharge today then i usualy have any advice would be great should I be concerned?

I would say no, I would get checked out, at this stage you want to be careful

Ho honey spotting during pregnancy is never normal, at any stage. Its common in the first tri though, but not normal. Phone your midwife as soon as you can so she can investigate. Did they give you an internal at your scan?

No they did not do an internal I called L&D and they said to moniter it and if it gets worse or doesnt stop in an hour I have to go to the er because they wont see me till 20 weeks i think its bull im like 2 days away!

And its a navy hospital so the er people suck!
I would much rather be seen by an accual mw or obgyn

It seems to have stopped so i guess ill keep monitoring it

Sorry...I'm confused about the Navy ER. Do you have an OB that you can see? That's really messed up that they won't see you. Please keep us updated. Sending :hugs:

I spotted on and off a couple of weeks ago (at 21 weeks) for about a week. Very small amounts though, just some dots on my pants, maybe a tiny amount once when I wiped. I also had mild abdominal pains. I went to the hospital for a check up, the midwife listened to baby's heartbeat and that was it! She didn't seem overly concerned and said sometimes pregnant ladies can spot during the time of when their periods would have been, and it did actually coincide with my usual period time. I was told to monitor the situation and go back if it got worse but thankfully I stopped spotting soon after.

Wishing you and your baby the best :) x

Thanks ladies the reasurance is nice and yes Im happy to have healthcare but if you are not EXACTLY 20 weeks or over you see someone in the er and they bug me a bit I went in for a non pregnancy related issue at 6 weeks and they put "threatend miscarriage on my chart" and the thing had nothing to do with my pregnancy so if you are over 20 weeks they see you in labor and delivery but the lady argues with me that i wasnt 20 weeks and i only have a day to go i was like "realy yall wont see me " she said "no your not 20 weeks yet go to the er if you think its an issue" they can be very rude!
