My Lo was born small and has remained small. He was weighed this week and at 24 weeks old he is 13lb 1. At all the baby groups there are chunky babies and my Lo is the smallest and i just wondered if there are any mums on B&B that have small babies. He is perfect in every way but i do worry when he is older at school as we all know how kids are. Really would be nice to talk to any one who has or has the same situation xxx

my son was 'underweight' (and still is!) i had health visitors at my door, so called friend accusing me of starving him and threatening to call ss.... i was like go ahead.

my son is just small (in comparison to other kids in the uk) 1) hes half french, french people are smaller 2) english people tend to be big 3) i know a girl who is born within a week of my son and shes 'healthy weight' .... err no, shes like... a monster. In my opinion far too big, her mother just feeds her and feeds her.

my son had reflux, he was breastfed, he eats well (i do struggle to get him to eat stodgy fods, he likes salad and fruit!) and at the age of 3 he walks and never goes in the pushchair.

hes happy and all his intellectial milestones he reaches early... so that says to me hes healthy.

Dont worry about it, i know its hard but if your lo is happy then its fine. and btw... my son is the life and soul of the party he gets on better with older kids and he doesnt get pushed around!!!

Scarlett's teensy - 9th centile. At 25 weeks she was 13lbs 11. I always get people saying how small she is for her age, but it's stopped bothering me now. I know she's happy, healthy and well-fed, and that's what matters. I've always been on the small side, so I'm sure it's just how she is!

my lo was born 5lbs 12oz and he's gonna be 1 on sunday and still only weighs 16lbs 4oz. the health visitor has conceded that because me and his dad are both slim and the fact he's very active he's gonna remain on the smaller side and not gain a great deal of weight. he eats perfectly and drinks his milk well but burns off so many calories cos he's always on the go!!

my gabrielle is 3rd percentil in heingt and 5 in weight shes always been healthy her dads petite we are both 5 ft tall she meets her milstones early and eats healthilly dont worry bout it

my LO is small but he's so energetic and lovely. All my family have cute little babies so I didn't even notice till HV had a go at me about it. He's just over 15lb at 25 weeks. I have noticed that most of the larger babies seem less active so I guess ours are just burning through their calories faster.

Georgia was 6lbs when she was born and now at 24 weeks she weighs 13lb 8. Her cousin who is 7 weeks younger was weighed today and she was 15lb9 bless her, so much bigger than Georgia. My baby is just a titch lol

Daniel was born on the 25th centile (7lbs 6oz) but since about 3 weeks old he has been very nicely following the 2nd percentile.
He was weighed at 9 months and came in at a 'whopping' 16lb 3oz!!
He is just a tidge!

Yep, we even have our own thread: https://www.babyandbump.com/parenting-groups/256436-itty-bitty-babies-club-slow-gainers.html

Gabriel was 5lb 13oz born and was 17lbs at 1 year. He's below the 1st percentile, but following his own line down there, so perfectly healthy, just itty.
He's hit all his milestones early or on time. I think he's got a fast metabolism just like me and my OH, plus he never stops moving!

Harrison is between the 2nd and 9th percentile, at 10months he weighs 17lb 4oz x

Yeah my Lily is tiny, I have no idea what she weighs now, I gave up getting her weighed because it always made me worry. She is very happy and very healthy and very energetic so I'm fine with it now

She does have a dairy allergy though and I wish I could feed her cheese and yoghurt to bulk her up.

my lo was 6lb 6oz at birth, he's now 15lb 5oz at 23 weeks, he's between the 9th and the 25th percentile for weight and between 25th and 50th for height, he still fits into 0-3 sleepsuits although 3-6 fit him a bit better, I always get comments from relatives that he's small because he's not on food what the hell!!!

thank you ladies :flower: just worry cause he is a boy and being small at school, the worry never stops eh? i just wonder if he will stay small or he will catch up? xxx

My son is 15 months old and weighs 21lbs

My Lo is between the 2nd and 0.4 percentile,he was born on the 9th. I was just Bf till 6weeks and he went off the scale  thats when i started combi feeding and he went up to the 2nd.I always wonder if id given it longer with BF that he would have got to the same stage? but was a bit panicky at the time. x

My baby was 13lbs something at 26 weeks. At 22 weeks she was 12lbs something. She was somewhere just above 9th centile.

She is now back to birth centile (40th) and is around 18 and a half pounds at nearly 12 months.

Haha, it probably wouldn't work. My little Isabella can just eat and eat yoghurt, cheese, philli etc, and she is still small.

Gabriel too! That kid can really pack down the food, but he's still a light weight.

I've just had a look in the red books and at 22 weeks, DD was 13lb, 15ozs (birth weight: - 5lb, 10ozs) and DS was 14lb, 8ozs (Birth Weight: - 4lb, 11ozs). They've were always pretty small in comparison to other babies but I have stopped worrying now. They were weighed at 17 months and were both around the 25lb mark. They both look happy and healthy as I'm sure your LO does so I wouldn't worry at all:flower: x
