Is this a boy? Could I be right?

Hello ladies!!!!

I spent the night in the emergency room, due to a lot of pain and well just overall stress I've had going on which apparently has affected my pregnancy a bit. Luckily everything is fine with the baby, and I was able to take a peek at the ultrasound, (I haven't had an ultrasound before) my main doctor wanted me to wait until my 12 weeks for my first ultrasound.. so in the emergency room, I got up and took a picture of the ultrasound results (while the tech was away) since they didn't give me a copy or address anything about the baby 🙄

And I swear I think I make it out to be a boy, what do you think? I am 11 weeks and 5 days pregnant.

Is it clear enough to make a guess, at 11 weeks? 🙊🙊🙊

Your arrow is pointing to the cord in your pic, the nub which we eowould guess from atm is found at the bottom end of baby, in your pic the nub area is out of focus so no clues showing atm, congratulations on baby though Have you an NT scan booked for soon??

Thank you! Yes I made that arrow trying to figure it out! Haha thanks for the information. Sadly I don't know what has taken so long for my appointment to be set by my doctor, I think I'll have my first scan within 2 more weeks! Thank you!!!!

Hi everyone!!!

So I finally went to my first official ultrasound (since last one was done in the ER due to some pain I had but turned out the baby was fine, and I didn't receive any information on whether it could be a boy or girl).

Anyway, today I was able to see my baby and I'm really happy everything is going well, I am 12 weeks and 4 days along, the doctor told me that she is usually able to guess the sex at this stage, and as we looked at mine she said it wasn't so clear but her guess is that it's a boy.

She showed me the baby from various angles, even from the bottom up where I could see something "poking out", and so did she. Regardless she told me "Let's not assume just yet, we'll check again later on".

I wish she would have given me a copy of the ultrasound when we saw the baby's bottom so I could share it on here with you all, but I only got copies of the side view.


What I'm seeing there, is it the baby's private part or something else, or just impossible to tell from this image?

As to your first scan, that part you're pointing to is way too big to be a nub (unless your little boy is well endowed ) but in the second scan the nub looks very girly to me. That part you see is the nub that will eventually turn into the baby's private parts around 15-16 weeks. Since it is parallel to the spine, I'm thinking you might have a little girl on the way
