is this normal for a 4 week old baby?

hello ladies, we have just switched over to ff and I have a question!

My little boy is 4 weeks old and atm he takes 1-2oz of formula every 2 hours, is this normal? Im not sure if expecting him to take 3-4oz every 3/4 hours is too much to ask since he is so little

anything is normal at that age, he'll take what he wants and when, then he'll start to increase it.

thanks with my ds when we switched to formula he was 16 weeks old and had a set amount of oz every so many hours, right on cue. guess its completely different for a little on. thanku for ur advice - i was worrying he wasnt getting enough x

as long as your getting wet and soiled nappies and he's putting on weight then dont worry, he'll take as much or as little as he needs, and believe me it wont take long for him to increase it

hes been a little constipated from gaviscon he was on so im not sure what is a good indicator - i know ff babies poo alot less than bf (he had tons of dirty nappies when bf because we had foremilk/hindmilk problems) so im not sure when to worry or not about poos lol! his nappies are wet so im hoping thats a good sign. hes not been settled at all for the past week (bf causing reflux and colic and then constipation from gaviscon) so i dont have "being content" as reassurance either! im hoping he settles down now hes on formula and that we have cut out the gaviscon

try a little brown sugar in cooled boiled water, that will sort out his constipation xx
