Is this something I should be worried about, or has AF just come back early?

Hey everyone,

I gave birth a month ago tomorrow, and I'm not too sure if AF has come back already or if this is something else?
I had post-birth bleeding for about 3 weeks, which died down to a really really light brown spotting for about the past week. Yesterday, the bleeding came back heavily and bright red, but I haven't really had cramping or anything like that which I usually get on the first few days of AF.
I wouldn't usually worry, but I had to use nipple shields pretty much since Scarlett was born, and she only just started latching on normally a couple of days ago, and the first day she started I felt like I was getting afterbirth pains again.
Also, I had post partum haemorrhaging directly after birth, and lost about 900ml of blood, so I'm still about cautious about anything to do with bleeding.
As I'm exclusively BFing and always have been (and in fact my supply has increased since she's started latching properly) I'd be surprised if I'd started AF only a month after birth!
Does anyone know anything about this?

My period came back 4 weeks after I gave birth, I'm not sure how, but I've been on a pretty regular cycle since then, but I stopped breast feeding at about 2 weeks because of complications with my episiotomy/stitches and meds they kept giving me.

So I'm not sure how it would have gone if I had kept breast feeding, but my AF came back that early as well, so I guess its possible

I have exclusively breastfed since DS was born -- no issues or anything and mine returned on week 6 on the nose. No break for me.

Thanks guys. As much as I'd hate for it to be AF, I'd rather that to any more complications!
Forgot to add, I've been feeling quite nauseous today, too. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not?!

My aunt exclusively BF all her 4 kids (had her last baby 9 mnths back), & she had regular periods with the 4 starting at around 6 wks.
