I went to the pharmacy yesterday and the lady there started asking me about breastfeeding. She said my periods won't come back until i weigh over 7 and a half stone, is this true?

I'm only 5ft1 and have always been petite - i was just over 7st when i got pregnant and am now about 6st12. I can't eat much more than i am!

I think she's talking rubbish hun... if you weighed just over 7 stone when you got pregnant you more than likely must've been having periods then so why would it be any different now?

periods can be weird & very unpredictable when BFing tho so if you dont wanna get preg again make sure you use contraception iyswim? xx

Are you saying i'm of abnormal height? haha my BMI has just dipped below 18.5 so i know i'm ok, just wasn't sure if BFing made a difference!

lol, not at all - i think the real world just doesnt realise women can sometimes be reli petite and its ok!!

You're right missymojo - i think people forget a few inches of height can require a couple of stone to be 'normal' weight! x

hey hun

i'm also 5ft2 and was usually exactly 7stone before pg (underweight i know). i had fairly regular periods and still managed to get pregnant.

i'm now 7 and a half stone but losing weight rapidly with the BF, have been told my periods will return when i stop exclusively breastfeeding but it's only about 90% effective or something so to use another contraceptive!! xxx
