I have just seen a similar thread on here so thought Id share my experience with evil inlaws.
My 3 month old cries whenever my husbands sister holds him, and i dont mean a little cry its full on cry with his face going bright red and tears rolling out of his eyes. Anyway whenever we are at the in laws, MIL thinks its so funny to give my son to the SIL, then they will all sit there and laugh at him crying. The last time i was there she did it atleast 3 times and would wanna show whoever walked in the room. Apart from my husband whenever hes around they give my son 2 me cos they know he will go mad if he sees them do something like that. I am just so close to losing it with them.

jesus hun just tell them NO!!!! ffs what is wrong with these people - stnad your ground my lovely he is YOUR son xxxxxxx

Totally agree with this. A baby isn't a toy and making a baby cry on purpose for their own amusement is just vile.

When they do it im straight over there to take him back but they will jus pretend they cant hear or see me, i literally have 2 grab him from them. And if i say something they will twist it and tell hubby something completely the opposite to make me look bad, and he just thinks they can do no wrong. MIL has never done this 2 her other grandkids.

I would flat out ask them what they find so funny about making a defenseless baby cry? They know fully well what his reaction will be, so why continue to do it?

Why? Why? Why would anyone do that!! Have you told DH what they're doing? I'd tell them to stop it in no uncertain terms!

Dont hand him over. They are messing with his well being.

I would just take my child and leave simple as! And if my hubby (he would never do this) but if he chose to say I'd tell him he better seriously think about that decision! Stop going over there until they can grow up!

What a twisted sense of humour...

I agree with RJsMum - ask them what they find so funny about upsetting a small baby? Tell them they don't get to hold him if they are just going to get him upset.

I would also stop handing him over in the first place, if you could even convince me to visit them at all. This is one of those situations where baby wearing is great!

take baby off them, This happened when Wiliam was younger, everyone he cried on but no one would take him then as they didnt want to upset him. Only person he still cries at now is my mum but thats hardly surprising as kids sence evil from her. Not saying your in laws are but babies want mums then and to laugh at that is stupid. Throw some looks, give the hard shoulder and let them get all offended as babies are good judges of character.

Thats strange, I wonder why he doesnt like the SIL, maybe she wears a strong perfume or something that irritates his little nose?! MIL's can be a bit weird sometimes.

I haven't got a choice not to go, we have 2 do atleast once a week or hubby will go all moody on me. I think the next time they do it i will tell hubby straight that if they carry on i will seriously lose it with em.
SKATERBUN, i dont think its she wears anything strong, maybe he can just sense that the whole family is pure evil, haha. I wonder where DH went right lol.
