I had a really bad tearing sensation earlier and since then have been having some really bad pain.

Had a phone apt with doc and he got me to go in straight away so he could examine me.

He did another test and he thinks I am in the early stages of a MC. He said that the line should have been v dark but instead it was quite faint in that he didn't see it straight away. He said that I will likely bleed in the next couple of days.

Got an apt on monday to discuss options as this is potentially 3rd MC.

Just waiting for it to happen:cry:

Thanks guys. I'm hoping it was just faint as I had only gone for a pee 10mins before I spoke to Doc so had to gussle a load of drink, but i'm not getting my hopes up

If you're only 4 weeks and 1 day, why would the doctor think your test should be dark? They are often rather faint in the first week or so after your missed period.

Hi Neko, I did ask the question that I had only gone to the loo about 30mins previously and that I hadn't held it in for 3 hours and he just said that it would make no difference and that I wasn't to hold hope. So i'm now just waiting to see what happens.

:hugs::hugs: Ive had loads of pain at the start and a stint of pain now, dr unsure what it is but baby's fine, also my tests where faint till about 5 weeks, also drs tests arnt as sensitive , i hope they've got it wrong, :hugs::hugs: x x x

I decided to do another POAS this morning to see if there was any difference from the one I did on saturday.

This morning 4+2

I don't know where I am now as if I listen to the doctor then the test this morning should have been really faint. Instead, it is stronger than saturdays.

I guess I just wait until monday now to find out what is going to happen next

that test looks fine to me !!
some women wont even get a positive THAT early
dont give up hope yet .. i have had recurrent mc and was convinced i was having another with bleeding, stomach cramps and that awful back ache you get .. i had resigned myself to it happening and was just a waiting game - even phoned chinese herbal medicine practitioner to book appt as had given up with the nhs .. now finding myself 21 weeks pg .. although i must admit panicking with every pain and twinge! just trying to say sometimes you get these pains and mc symptoms and its not always the worse case scenario
fingers crossed that your doctor is wrong xx

Thanks all for your kind words. All the pain has gone as no signs of anything yet. I'm still going to the doctors on monday to see what they say.

sounds good; you know some of these cheapie tests (and that includes the ones they do in many doctors) contain almost no dye and turn out scarily light on anyone....x

Your second test definitely looks darker

I can't believe a doctor is using something as imprecise as test lines at this early stage to tell someone they're about to lose their baby. Either the doctor is incompetent or just doesn't care enough to do real testing.

Hang in there sweetie, there's still LOTS of hope! :hugs:

thats a funny thing for a doc to say without a blood test?? some people have faint tests for the 1st weeks at least! i think for now, you shud definitely keep some PMA and keep going! all the luck in the world1xx

id say its defatly getting a stronger line.. try not to stress (i no easier said than done) :hugs: hope all goes well at doctors :hugs:

Hi All, still nothing which is a good sign. I have taken it easy today and gone to my mum and dads for them to cook for me while DH goes on a stag do. I'll keep you all posted x
