Its been over 2 weeks..

Its been over 2 weeks since my miscarriage and im still getting positive pregnancy tests... very faint lines, but still there... Its been 17days since i m/c... i stopped bleeding about 9 days ago... i would have expected all the hcg to have left by now... i was gonna try using ovulations tests but i only seem to be getting a faint line on them too... i doubt i will even ovulate now if i still have postive pregnancy tests... does anyone know how long for the HCG to be completly gone... i was 10wks pregnant...

Hi sorry for your loss, my midwife told me I need to wait for 3 weeks to take a preg test as the hormones can stay in your body for over 2 weeks and therefore would still show positive on a test, hope that helps

I had my m/c 6 days ago, the midwife took bloods that day and rang me the following morning saying I had dropped from the hormones of a 8 and half week pregnancy to that of a five and half weeks pregnancy, this was 2 hours after the main lose.

I go back in the morning for another blood test as she cant discharge my notes untill levels are back to normal, I will ask when I'm there and let you know.

I tested on saturday just to see what it said and I got a positive, very cruel

Even though this was my 5th i never went to the hospital before only the gp and they never did any tests etc.

Hi shel... thanks... Sorry for your loss ... yeah it is very cruel to still be seeing a BFP and knowing your not pregnant My midwife didnt do bloods at all for HCG... only bloods for hemaglobin when i had heavy bleeding

Hi

Midwife said it really does depend on the person but in general its 2 to 3 weeks.

It will interfere with the ovulation tests and most periods come back 4 to 6 weeks after the m/c so ovulation could be up to 2 weeks late.

Hi...

Im feeling fine physically... emotionally im a mess.. hoping both our levels go down quick... some days im desperate to get back to ttc... other days im terrified of the thought incase the same happens again !

I would like to know my hcg level and make sure its going down but i wasnt even offered blood tests... let me know how you get on tonight/tomorrow... i checked your other post... i would have been so so angry if i found out my m/c could have been prevented... i would have to take it up with the doctor who refused the medication
