IUD and PCOS

Ok so we've decided to get on birth control due to some financial goals we want to set first. BC pills have been pretty bad for me.. Weight gain and just bad mood swings.. I've been reading about Mirena and Skyla but haven't read if it's good for women with PCOS.. Anyone on these IUD's and have PCOS?

I had the Mirena put in after my daughter, and it made the PCOS soooo much worse! I was bloated to the point that I looked more pregnant then I did the day I gave birth, I had horrendous break outs, migraines and developed a new bleeding cyst... I got it removed after 2 months and things went back to relative normal - I have been on BCP before and NEVER had any of those issues! I have a copper IUD now (hopefully coming out soon) and no issues to date...

I have PCOS and think the mirena is great. I had really really heavy irregular periods but the mirena (after a few weeks of spotting) means I have no periods at all.

I've noticed no other side affects
