IUI next week?

Hello,
I am getting my first IUI done Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. This is my fourth month on clomid + injectables (Menopur) but almost a year on clomid now. Just wondering if anyone wanted to join me in this process.

I will be doing my 2nd IUI next week. My first attempt failed in November, and we didn't get to do it in December because they found a polyp on my uterus that they removed by D&C. It is a fairly easy process, especially compared to the HSG test if you had that done. Are you doing the follicular series sonograms? I go in for my first one on Wednesday. Based on last time, I should be doing the IUI on Friday. I had a sono on days 10 and 11 and the IUI on day 12. So I'm hoping it'll be quick again this month. The actual IUI was a little painful because they inject fluid into your uterus and it is expanding so rapidly. I had really bad cramps, and that's what my dr. said it was from. Other than that, it wasn't so bad. Not nearly as fun as making a baby the old fashion way, though! Good luck and baby dust! Maybe we'll both get BFP's this month!! We can do our TWW together if you'd lke!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the encouragement.

Hopesforbaby- not sure what you mean about the follicular series... I am going in tomorrow (I believe should be Friday but due to holiday, etc. they are determining tomorrow) and they will decide when I trigger but likely Saturday or Sunday and IUI 36 hours later. Would love a 2ww buddy.

Every time I move on to a new treatment I get so excited but also try not to get my hopes up in fear I will again be moving onto another step!

FX everyone... I really hope this is finally our month

Looks like IUI will be Monday. E2 levels were only 323 today with one real contender but hopefully by Monday I will have 1 or 2 more caught up with the help of my meds.

I guess your process is a little different from mine since you are using clomid. I am not having to do any drugs since our infertility is male factor -- my husband had testicular cancer in 2008. So I guess they have numbers to go by for you and they have to do a sono for me to see the size of my follicules and when they reach a certain size, then they give me the trigger and it all begins!

well all seemed to go well today. They did not do an ultrasound first so not sure how my follicles were looking but since I didn't have a strong response to meds this month, I am going to assume 1 good one. Husband's sperm count was 39.5 million post-wash! Hopefully my egg(s) will cooperate.

Readyforbaby-How are you feeling? My follicules were not cooperating this month and we just did the IUI today. Super good numbers for you guys. We only had .2 I was really hoping 1 million, but it's higher than last time when it was only .1. This TWW is going to be SO long......lucky you are already half way through it! Keep us posted! Hi there and thanks. Feels good to have people cheering me along! I have had tender boobs since the night of the 5th and have been gassy and a bit bloated (sorta O-like cramps at certain times or when I pee sometimes). I have had the tender breasts before and I know is likely the trigger still in my system. Still, gotta have faith right? One week down, one to go. It will take everything in me to hold off on testing.

Hopesforababy- what were your follie sizes? Mine weren't totally cooperating either. I know it only takes one but usually I have 2, 3, or even 4 follies but this month I think only 1 with a good shot.

I will keep you posted of any new symptoms, developments, etc.
