IUI with a high, open cervix

I just had another IUI in my attempt for baby #2 on Monday. He ended up needing to use the tenaculum because my cervix was tilted and he made a comment that it was "way up there". He then commented to the med student (I feel like there is always a med student :haha:) that it was "really open".

Does that mean I was ovulating at that precise time or just that day? With my successful IUI in 2015 he never mentioned how my cervix was. I am just curious if that is a really good sign.

I had my first IUI today, and the nurse had to bring in the doctor because she said my cervix was so closed she couldn't get the catheter in. I asked if this meant I was no longer fertile, they said no, doesn't indicate anything. However, fertility apps and the like do say to check if your cervix is open. I guess it can only be a good thing?

fxed for you :)
