IVF April/May 2014 Buddies

Hiya, hope you don't mind me joining this tread. I started injecting 200 Gonal F on 23rd April & we are going back to the clinic on Friday for a scan & blood work to see how everything is going, fingers crossed they will be doing the egg collection next week.
We have been trying for about 3.5 years with not even a hint of a BFP. My hubby has perfect sperm & i have mild endo but nothing that should stop us from conceiving so we are classed as 'unexplained' which i hate as there has to be a reason right?

How is everyone else doing?

Today is Day 1 for me and so I go in on Day 6 to see how the follicles are growing. That's on Saturday. Got my first shots this morning, that Menopur burns like a SOB!

i definitely understand that! I have both tubes, but the left one is clubbed at the end...so its useless. The right one is blocked...so again, practically useless. We only did IUI cuz insurance required it before IVF.

So, I got AF today, and I started new injectables. I am now doing only 5 units of Lupron, 225 units of Follistim, and 20 units of HCG.

Hopefully I'll have egg retrieval in about 2 weeks or so!! We'll be transferring 2-3 embryos so...a little nervous about twins or triplets, but its worth the risk. I'd rather have twins than no baby at all!!

thanks.. good luck on the process. our insurance dont cover ivf or the meds..in Jan ill be shopping around for insurance that covers it.

Sorry it took so long to reply. Yesterday I was pretty much dead. Went to bed pretty much as soon as I got home. The appointment went well. They had me come back today to do another scan. They let me know that I get to do my trigger tonight!! Yay I am so excited. I will go in for ER on Thursday. One thing that stinks or well two kind of is...1. I have to do my trigger at 11:30 tonight. That is so stinking late. I'm already tired, but oh well I guess I got to do what I got to do. 2. They told me my Dr. will be out of town for the ET. I am a little nervous about this, but the good thing is the team at my clinic is full of good Dr. So I have read. I'm just hoping for tons of good follicles on Thursday and for them to fertilize well.

it went good. my estradiol is at 834.3!!! Dont no if thats good or bad but i no its high. I dont have any follies over 12mm yet but they said thats normal for day 4 of my cycle. I go back tomorrow for more blood work and US

Hi Ladies!! Today was retrieval day!!! It went well I suppose I was just ready to get it over with since the doctor said it would help with the back pain. Which sucked by the way. Anyway they told me they got 12, however I was out of it so I'm not sure if that meant 12 follicles (maybe or maybe not with eggs) or if I for sure got 12 eggs. I was still a little woozy. They will call me tomorrow to let me know how many fertilize. Fingers crossed it’s all 12!!!! Other than that I feel ok kind of crampy from time to time but no pain.

How is everyone elses stimming coming along? How are the scans?
