Hi Ladies,

I was wondering if anyone else lives in an area with no IVF clinics. I have recently learned that there are ZERO IVF clinics in Alaska. (AND WE ARE THE LARGEST STATE - by size, of course!)

In order to have IVF done, Alaskans have to travel out of state! :dohh:

DH and I decided that if we had to go the IVF route, then we will move to Pennsylvania near his folks but we love Alaska and are hoping that it does not come to that.

Does anyone else live in a place with no IVF facilities? I was shocked!

Oh sweetie that sucks so much! I can't believe they don't have ANY in Alaska! You have had so many obstacles thrown your way, I have this feeling deep down in my heart that you will be rewarded one day.

Wow, that is a shock!

Sort of for us...but Australia doesn't have many states! So in the bigger states we have lots and lots of clinics, mainly in the cities though, the regional clinics are crap. Our clinic is a 9hr drive from where we live. But we only go there for things like EPU, ET etc. We get all the drugs sent to us and get bloods and scans done locally.

A bit different to your situation though!

Fingers crossed you don't have to go down that road hun :hugs:

Thanks ladies. I am hoping we do not get to that road either just because I do not want to have to wait that long for a :bfp: (how selfish is that?! LOL) and also because of the cost.

Moving to PA is not a HUGE deal to me as my husband loves his home state and the schools there are good but it is soooo pricy to move cross country let alone from Alaska which is considered by moving companies to be an international move. If we have to move again, this time I am driving a U-Haul! LOL (I will visit all the Canadians on my way!)
