Hi Everyone

I start stimulating tomorrow with egg collection penciled in for 17th May. It's all happened so quickly that I am feeling slightly overwhelmed, my drugs have just arrived and I am now panicking!!

I am sat here with my coffee and suddenly thought, crikey, should I be drinking this?? I'm guessing the glasses of wine should be stopped now?? What else?? I've tried looking on the internet for some simple nutritional advice and dos and don't and am getting more and more confused! Anyone got some simple tips on what I should & shouldn't be doing?? I am a vegetarian so not sure whether I should be trying to compensate for that?? Apologies for my ignorance!

Help!!

Summer Breeze xxxx

I'm not totally sure as we start ICSI June. I read somewhere about drinking at least 2 liters of water a day. I also read about eating more eggs.

Hope this helps and good luck, I'm a month behind you so fingers crossed you'll have your BFP before I start xxxx

I think if you can cut the coffee out thats a good thing. I've stopped having wine and alcohol too. Not that I was drinking much but I don't even have one now either does DH.

I've been drinking milk, eating protein to help eggs and drinking 3 litres of water as recommended which is not nice! lol The toilet is my new home

Summer firstly, I LOVE the picture of your furbabies, they are sooooooo adorable!!

I'm doing my first IVF cycle shortly too. It's day 4 of down reg, so I guess I'll be starting on the stims towards the end of this month.

I'm planning to cut out alcohol and coffee but that's about it really. I usually eat pretty well anyway, but maybe a bit of extra protein couldn't hurt? If you are vegetarian, you might want to get a bit of extra protein going too.

I would quite like to go 100% organic, but I'm not sure if I have the time or inclination, or whether it really matters. I'll think I'll probably just wing it for the first one!

Mummy and ACLIO, wishing you both good luck and babydust with your cycles! PS Mummy  that is definitely what you get for drinking too much water!

Thanks Ladies,
So no coffee or wine, lots of water, eggs, protein, think I can do that!

Thanks Mrs JA, they are the soppiest things ever, I am cuddled up to them now as I write!
So how are you finding the down regging? I have to say I'm looking forward to getting some hormones back in me, hot flushes & headaches and generally just feeling a bit poo is starting to get a bit boring!
xx

They remind me of my puppy Disco. He is cuddled up next to me as I type this too! I am totally obsessed with him... imagine how much worse when we have our ACTUAL babies!!

So, are you doing IVF with ICSI or some other type?

It's so far, so good for me with the down reg, but it's pretty early days. I just have to take the birth control control pill at this point. Nasal spray starts end of next week, then injectables around the end of the month, so I guess I might be feeling more like poo then!

Hope you start to feel a bit better soon :hugs:

If the way I treat my furbabies(haha love it!) is any reflection on how I will treat an actual baby, god help them!! I would be so lost without my little boys, I too am obsessed! What sort of pup do you have??

Oooh exciting times ahead then! I had my first injection last night, it went really well so am now just willing my ovaries on to get nice and busy!
xx

I've been having caffeine free coffee and just one tiny glass of red wine ( i forgot I shouldn't!!!!!) so far ....

an extra egg here and there and more meat and oily fish and lots of water!!!!:-)

Summer, I just changed my avatar to him - check it out!
He's a jack russell crossed with Australian terrier. Sooooo sweet. But such a little monkey!
Well done on getting that first injection out of the way. I will be sending some good ovary-stimulating vibes your way!!

Brumbar, I'm still having the occasional cheeky glass of red too, so I wouldn't worry about it! Good for the heart isn't it??
:hugs:

Oh my goodness, he is gorgeous!!!! what a cutiepie!!

Thank you for your vibes, I need all the help I can get! I will pass them right back at ya pretty soon!!

Happy Weekend everyone! xx
