Hi,

Only a few more hours until my IVF orientation. I'm really nervous. I guess I'm worried that they'll do the ultrasound and they will tell me IVF isn't for me, or won't work. It feels like a last hope, so I'm not sure what I'll do if that is the result.

Of course, trying to stay positive and hoping for the best. And its CD2 - not the funnest time to have an internal ultrasound done. But they tell me it doesn't matter. Ick.

I just got back... posted details below.

Good luck for your appointment - I'm sure it will go okay. I wouldn't fancy having an internal scan done when having AF visiting either - yuck!!

Let us know how you get on...

Hi Girls,

Well, I survived!

Apparently I have a right peritubal cyst. Didn't show up on the HSG but there it was, larger than life. But it doesn't impact me since I'm on to IVF for sure.

Because of my age (39) and my follicle count of 12 total (not many, but its only cd2 so there will be more ... I hope!) I'm being put on a "flare" protocol. So, no BCP's for me. I start injections on CD# (Tomorrow!!!!) and if all goes well, will have my retrieval mid February.

I was NOT expecting that. But excited to get going, and nervous about giving myself my first needle. I've only ever taken 50 mg of clomid for 2 months - so all of the drugs are a bit overwhelming. But OMG!!! Here i go....
