IVF Postcode lottery

Anyone seen this? Its from August this year. Do we think with this site and all its members we could organise some sort of petition?

Heres hoping some progress is made on this lottery and they allow us all to have 3 cycles and also allow it if you have already paid for one or 2!!! Perhaps give us a refund!!

I certainly think there's no harm in trying a petition.

Also, if you go to Infertility Network UK, they have regional organisers that will have meetings with local politicians to fight for treatment funding as well. I'm trying to get in touch with my organiser as she has a meeting with our Health Minister in the near future, and if my sending a letter helps then I'll get it done...

Hmmmmm i think I will put something together in email too. Things seem to be moving on the issue but lets hope it isnt too late for us and we havent already spent thousands as they are unlikely to backdate funds to cover what we have spent.

i hope they change it to 3 for Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales and not just England as they do with a lot of things.

i would defo sign a petition to show my support as i was only allowed 1 NHS funded IVF just because i live in wales which just is not right we should all be treated the same when it comes to treatment choices.

i have read that it takes on average 3 IVF treatments to get pregnant so how do they justify offering just 1 when most of the time it doesnt work first time

let me know if a petition does start as i know a lot of people who will sign it too

its a age problem and a money problem.. i wont moan about there only being 1 go allowed because im only allowed one go with my treatment and mine has such a low sucess rate.

I'm not at the IVF stage but if I was I couldn't have any where I live - North Staffordshire doesn't offer any fertility treatment - no blood tests, SA, nothing!
I would defo sign a petition!

Hmmmmm not sure how we go about organising this? i wonder if we could ask the site if we can do some sort of poll or thread that can be printed off and sent to relevant govenrment circles , NHS are supposed to offer 3 treatments on gove recommendation but THEY DONT cheeky gits!!! haha

What do we reakon about organsing a poll on this site so we can then right somments too and send it all to the relevant people? Thats we be good yeah?

Can anyone spot any problems with that?
