IVF Success?

Just wanting a head count on the success rates for IVF for us BNB'ers.

How many got pregnant on the 1st cycle?
If you didn't, how many cycles did you take to get a BFP?

And how many are continuing on with more than 1 cycle?

First cycle worked and I got twins. I had 2 IUIs prior to doing IVF. We did ICSI.

Hey hun I was successful with first cycle of IVF, Just praying for loads of sticky baby dust that my little bean sticks.

I also did 2 day transfer with two embryo's....

Oh no - I'm the first with bad news to bring down the averages I am afraid.
2 failed cycles under my belt.
IVF for unexplained infertility, 2 embies transferred on day two each time.

I'm sad to say that I also must bring down the averages.

1 failed / cancelled ICSI cycle just yesterday .

I hope we can try again soon but that depends on what our FS has to say.

This gives me some hope. I wonder what the chances are of twins from ICSI if u have 2 embryos transferred? Are ur chances better if u have the egg transfer as close to the collection as possible?

I got pregnant first cycle. It wasn't a successful pregnancy but two embryos did implant. Not sure that counts...

Im afraid I have to bring down the average aswell, Our first cycle was abondened, Our 2nd attempt also failed after a 3 day transfer.
We will try again but I just need a break from it all at the moment.

One fail (chemical) so far. - ICSI, Male Factor, day 3 transfer, two grade A embryos.

You'll be getting that average up NeyNey, blastos are so wildly successful!

We were due to have ET at 2 days but they couldn't choose which were the best two. We were sent home and came back the next day when they had chosen Charlotte and Thomas. I think results are better with blastocysts...is that about 5 days(ish)?

Helen is right, blasto gives a far higher success rate, 40% -if I recall correctly- more than any other type of transfer so essentially the reverse, the further from transfer the better, the embryos are very sensitive on day 1, 2, 4 and 6 and then it's silly so 3 and 5 are best with 5 (blasto) being ideal.

We were successful on our second attempt. We had two embryos put back on a 3 day transfer and I am currently 9weeks3days pregnant with twins.
