So, I have FSH levels of 23.2 and AMH of 3.27 ..... basically my eggs are too sparse and delapidated to bother trying to cajole any out of my ovaries :(

I also have to have a large fibroid which needs to be removed before I can start IVF treatment. My op date is 14th June, followed by 3 months recovery meaning I can get cracking around mid-september time.

When I first learned that my eggs were hard boiled I was absolutely gutted, I thought the consultant was telling me it was the end of the road for me.....then she started talking about donor eggs, and my biggest concern about this was the length of the waiting list (3 years+)

Miraculously I have managed to find a donor - so as soon as I have recovered from the op we can start.

It's feeling like my ttc journey is getting longer and more complicated my the minute, and I wondered if anyone else is going down the donor egg route?
I could really do with hooking up with someone else who is on the same road to keep me going
any takers?

Urchin don't give up hope my Amh was 1.9 and I am sitting here with 2 grade A embryos on board. Can I ask how old you are now ? Good luck with your donor fingers crossed for a bfp with ivf fir you x

Hi Urch, didn't realise things had gotten this hideous for you. I know nothing but just wanted to pop in, shoot the breeze and give you a big :friends: - am thinking of you. Hope it all works out. Have heard far more unlikely circs than yours ending up with bubbas so don't give up.

God how do I say all this without sounding patronising?

You know what I am trying to say. Big love. xxx

Ay up Oneday - I'm 40 hon .... will be very nearly 41 when I get the go ahead to start treatment, so the decision has been made that with my depleted reserves my best chance is with donor eggs - luckily I have a donor (and I am keeping everything crossed that it works out with her)

and a big Ay Up to DragonMummy :D
yup, it has been pretty shit - it has been such a difficult journey, from the miscarriage things have just kept on getting worse. I really do think that the egg that got fertilised was the last one down the tubes

The good thing is, that with donor eggs (and my donor will be 30 when we start) my age isn't really a factor any more .... it is her age that counts!

a big YAY for that!

Well if wrinkly old wrecks like have been in the news can get pregnant, you look practically underage in comparison! Nothing to worry about.

Am hoping I'm not quite that dilapidated :D
But yes, it is all feeling a little more possible now that I have my own donor - I have everything crossed that she turns out to be suitable ..... if not, I'm back on the mercy of the NHS waiting list

Soooo, still the only one then :(
