Jaidyn/Jayden for girl or boy?

I have had the name Jayden picked out for a boy for a long time. In fact i was pretty sure the baby was boy and loved to call the baby Jayden (to myself cause DH and I weren't talking names until we knew the gender). Well at my 20 week scan on tuesday we were told "think babys a girl". I am going on the weekend for a scan to confirm. So i started looking at my longer list of girls names i liked... and I kinda came back to Jayden, but spelt Jaidyn for a girl.

Do you guys like it?

my friend has a little girl named Jaden Ive been told it was more of a girl name until it became so popular so I think its gender neutral!

I have 3 friends with boys named Jayden/Jaidon. Great name but here is soooo popular. I wouldnt use it just for popularity sake but I associate it more as a boys name

My friend has a girl named Jaidyn! I think it's totally gorgeous for a little girl OR boy!!!

Jaidyn Elizabeth Machen is just adorable I say go for it!!!!

(I love the name... it was my husband and I's pick for a boy for so long...I'd use it for a girl, too... but now my friend used it so we can't haha!)

I would say Jayden is a boys name but then I'm a little bias as it's my son's name!

I don't know any other girl OR boy named Jayden! I think it could be cute for a girl, Jayden Elizabeth sounds lovely! Personally I'm not too keen on the alternative spelling, maybe just Jaden looks more feminine or Jadyn?

My son's name is Jayden -- and i LOVE the name!

I know of a few other Jayden's (none personally) & they are all boys........

But it is def a unisex name... & Jaidyn Elizabeth sounds (and looks!) soo pretty! I love it!

Another spelling option is Jaedyn

I do think of Jayden as a boys name but definately think it could suit a girl.

I love Jayden Elizabeth and I think it looks really cute.

I've seen Jaeden, Jaden, Jayden, Jaiden, Jaedyn, Jaedin and loads of others.


The only two I like are Jayden and Jaden though ;D

Elizabeth is both my mom and my MIL's middle name.. so it was kinda a no brainer for a middle (honor both g'ma's at once lol).

I think i always thought of it as a boys name - but im seeing more and more on here and on baby name sites its often a girls name.

My job now after my scan tomorrow is to convince DH to name the baby Jayden regardless of the gender

I know a girl called Jaiden. She gets sometimes shortened to Jai. I know boys called Jayden so I think it's a unisex name.

My niece's name is Jayden! I Never heard of it before until she got that name, but in name searches it pops up under Boys suggestions..But I love it for a girl, I only know of a girl who has it and it actually would seem wierd to me to hear a boy with that name lol
