Hi everyone!

I would love to see our January baby beans <3 When is your little one coming? Share your 20 week scans and more here! Are you keeping your baby's gender a surprise? Tell us everything! Totally looking forward to meeting you all! :flower:

My L.O is due Jan 15th of 2019 and my 20 week scan won't be till August 23rd, fingers crossed we can learn what our little sprout is! <3 This little one will be our third, and instead of a baby shower we want to try what is called a 'Baby sprinkle' this time around :D

Hello! January due date here, the 12th for us! DS #1 was two weeks overdue, though, so you never know.

We've already made gender public, and don't have a date set for our 20-week scan.

I'd love to have a baby sprinkle since this is our second. It's another boy (just what we were hoping for <3 ) so we already have most of what we'll need. My family doesn't throw parties, though, and I no longer work outside of the home (I e-commute) so I don't have a coworker to throw it for us anymore, either. We may just do without, which is a bit of a downer!

Hello !! We are due the 9th January ! Off to have a gender scan on the 29th to find out what baby number 4 is going to be !

What’s a baby sprinkle !! We had triplets last time but didn’t have a baby shower or anything - would love to do something this time around though! Xx

Hey there! :hugs:
I know what you mean lol! my 1st was overdue and our 2nd was a week early lol! yay! congrats on your upcoming little man <3
That's one of the beauties of a baby sprinkle, it's more laid back and not formal so you could throw it yourself! it's more of an opportunity to get the touch ups you will need this round since many likely have all they need on big ticket items. It's also considered a "welcome to the world party" to celebrate a new life coming, so it's a bit different to a baby shower ;) I say go for it and have fun if you can <3 here's a link about them if you want to check it out in better detail.

A baby sprinkle is like a mini baby shower for people who already have most of what they need! I think traditional etiquette dictates that you're not supposed to have a full on baby shower after the first baby, but baby sprinkles are considered to be tastefully acceptable. So people bring things you may need more of -- diapers, wipes, rash creams, etc. :)

Hi there! :hugs:

yay! any guesses as to what your little bean is this round?
A baby sprinkle is awesome, it's less formal and you can totally host it for yourself too! The awesome part about it is that it's a little party to welcome the newest life coming when you've had prior little ones, it may not be as grand and formal as a traditional shower, but it's more laid back and fun which is awesome in its own right :D It's also an opportunity to get any touch ups you may need that the little one's siblings may not have left over for use ( certain sized diapers, wipes for example) here's a link with more info about it, https://www.babylist.com/hello-baby/baby-sprinkle
it's a cool little thing :D

I've definitely considered throwing our own if nobody else offers, but that will sure be tough to do, especially with a winter due date and so close to the holidays! We live in semi-rural Alaska, so it's a long drive out to our house, and our place is far too small to host more than just a couple of guests. We'd have to rent someplace out, but since it'll be winter, all the inexpensive (outdoor!) spots are off the table. So at that point, just the costs of throwing the party would probably exceed the costs of buying our own diaper wipes.

ooh that definitely makes it tricky! Would it be out of line to have it earlier before the winter snows started to set in? Maybe around August? I'm sorry for not being familiar with the weather patterns out there, I'm in a desert ( hating the heat so much! ) so for us winter is a releif and we're aiming the first week of NOV to avoid conflict with turkey day :) Oh Oh! or what about hosting a picnic based sprinkle? a great bbq outdoors or something of that nature?

August really is the last possible month to do anything outdoors and not start having unpleasant weather! But it's so far away from actually having the baby that it almost seems silly. We usually have a bonfire in October, but it's typically cold and snowy by that point!

Hi there! I'm due with baby #1 on January 21st We should have our 20 week scan in early September.

Hello, I’m Holly! I’m due with baby girl number 3 on Jan 4th =)

Hi all can I join in? So my actual due date is February 1st but as we’re expecting twins they won’t let them come back the 11th of January 19’ and as there’s two in there I already feel like 24 weeks pregnant lol the stretching is something that bothers me a lot as I have had two Singleton babies before these beauty’s! I’m really apprehensive but praying for a healthy and happy 6 months! We have a gender reveal booked for the 18th of August to find out what they are! xxx

Sure thing! Congrats on the twins! I know you have a lot of work and monitoring ahead of you, but I am sure the two little bunnies will do great :D

I was really happy to be able to hear the little sprout's heart beat. it's at 154bpm and the little one was favoring my left side. I always get super nervous at check ups by being overly paranoid of anything wrong. So far things are looking great, so much I didn't have to be in the office long lol! :haha:

how has everyone's check ups been going?

I had my 14w checkup on Monday. Just about the same as you - the hearbeat was 154bp and all is well. Not much to report, otherwise!

So awesome to hear :D Nothing to report is always good in my book lol! Glad it went super well :hugs:

I’m a little late to this party but I’m due 7th January!
16 week check is this Thursday then 20 week scan is 4 weeks today, we can’t wait!! 😁

Hello :D I am due January 14th and my 20 week scan is also August 23rd! Got an early gender scan booked for the 4th though. Baby showers aren’t really a thing in the uk tbh though becoming more common, I’d hate the attention though! At work we usually have a tea party for people leaving/getting married/ going on maternity leave so will have that. This is my second baby, first with my partner though and he has a child with his ex, both girls and tbh we are both feeling daunted at the thought of a boy! X
