January JellyBean mummies

:hugs: Hope you are feeling better soon Lisa :( xx

Oh yay i hope i will be joining u soon too, due 15th jan :)

Hi and welcome

Oh man I feel like poo! Am on two lots of pain killers, one every 6 hours and one every 4-6 hours. I have plenty supply of the first, but am due to run out of the others by the end of the week and its already my second prescription so am trying to expand the length of time between taking tabs. Unfortunately the withdrawl symptoms seems to feel like I have the flu - am freezing cold and aching all over. I'm dreading when I have to come off them completely :(

Lisa make sure you havent got an infection, I think you should ring someone as flu symptoms are the sign of infection. Get well soon x

Joe has been an angel and still waking for feeds every 3 hours he is such a good little boy :hugs:

Yay for Joe being a good boy...what does he do in the day? Does he like being cuddled a lot or happy to be left? Does he like baths? We'll all soon have our own little angels to snuggle...getting so close now

he is about 3-4 hourly feeds in the day taking anywhere from 2-4oz sometimes he finishes it all and we think we should of put 5oz in but not very often.
He is happy to be left in a chair or in a moses basket but happy to be held also, he is a very chilled out baby! He loves a bath too, squeals when he has to get out, I will take a photo of him when he is next in there. Overall I think he is a very relaxed chilled baby :cloud9:

Hope Michael is listening to all this...have told him he's got to be the best little baby ever : )

Caine was a NIGHTMARE!! He didnt want to be put down and screamed for being held all the time! Am hoping I will have an easy time of it this time with a baby who wants to sleep more than 2 hours at a time!

Hey girls hope u r all good! Holly is pretty good during the day, but her alto ego visits at night and she is a little terror and refuses to sleep!

TMI Warning!! I am still barely pooping and its sooooo uncomfortable! Am taking stool softeners but they aint softening anything so when I do go its excrutiating! Am getting to the point where I'm considering laxatives now, I just want it all out of me now! I can barely wee because I cant push anything out! Nice!

No they want me to start back on them advised to wait until I'm regular again. I think it's the painkillers I'm on, which I'm due to finish at the weekend.

Yes it will be the tablets. You tried movicol? A big good dose of that will work I promise you! Not a laxative, a stool softener and its used for impaction xx

Hi Ladies!

Thanks Sar for telling me about this link and for starting the thread!

Hope you are all well. I cant believe for some of us our babies are here!

I am getting on well, Maddie is just an absolute beauty, but the one thing that is letting me down at the moment is breast feeding. I am trying to stick with it because they say the first couple of weeks are the hardest but it is just a killer, my nipples are so painful. Still I am going to keep going, midwife came today and gave me some nipple shields which I know some women don't agree with cause it can confuse them, at least it might give me some relief for a couple of days- also am trying to express as well, so if I get too bad in the night then I can just bottle feed her that.

How is everyone coping with tiredness? I am functioning on zero, Maddie is the same as Holly Hodbert, she doesn't sleep at night, I manage to catch the odd hour or half an hour here and there but even when she is asleep for some reason I can't actually fall into a deep sleep because I am constantly watching her and checking on her to make sure she is ok. She is also quite a windy baby so makes a lot of grunting/burpy/windy noises in the night- she gets hiccups loads.

Oh well she is asleep now so I suppose I should try and get an hour!

xx

hi, im sorry you are struggling with feeding, i spose it will get easier with time, hope the expressing works well too. Im lucky with Joe as he eats then sleeps for 3hours, he is an absolute darling with sleeping and at the moment my OH is doing his share of night feeds but he goes back to work next week so i'll be doing them on my own but at the moment i cant complain.

Your very lucky sar! I think it's more the fact I am dreading the feeds cause my nipples hurt, every day I think I'm going to switch to formula but then I think I have got this far and apparently the first couple of weeks are the worst!
Do you have any sort of routine when it comes to Joe and feeding, like are you trying to do it at select times or just whenever he needs it? How many feeds are you doing a day?

OMG It is lilke you are describing Jennifer, what is it with our beans being so cheeky??? I had to stop expressing as Jennifer started to get really fustrated when on my breast. She is better atm but latches on and off about 5 times before she latches properly. I also have sore nipples.

Sleeping at night is a nightmare, yesterday she fed for 3 hours straight (don't ask!!!!!) and still only slept at 6am! I didn't get any sleep till 5am. Feel like a zombie today.

Anyhoo enough complaining she is amazing and I wouldn't change her :D

Anyone else getting nostalgic for the birth already, like seriously I'm envious of people updating from hospitals saying their little one is here. Can't believe I am about to say this but I want to do it all again already!!!!!!!! *must be the hormones*

Happy New Year Ladies and hope to meet some of you in 2011 :D
