January JellyBean mummies

Fine thanks sar and you?? Hope your ok lisa.
Wow its stressful with two under two lol

congrats jolene :flower: x wow Amabella will be one week old tomorrow

Blimey, I can't believe Bryce is a week old already!

I am really dreading my husband going back to work as well. He only has another week off! :(

I am recovering really quickly though and only need to take pain killers first thing in the morning.

Eloise is finding it tough with me spending so much time feeding Bryce though, as I can't spend as much time with her anymore, which breaks my heart but, I suppose it's something we are both going to have to adjust too.

I don't know how you girls do it with another LO! It's hard enough with just Holly!!! Medals all round!

Glad you're recovering well Naomi. I am dreading my hubby going back to work on thursday, I keep getting dead upset at the thought of it! My mum is out here on wednesday, but its just not the same and i've got far too used to having him around

Had our first pediatrician apptmt today and all was good. Holly has gone from 7lb4 birth weight to 7lb13, although is still only in 30%, but her length is now 20.5" and in 70% so thats good! Doc also recommended we try and wake her up more during day and dont let her sleep as long as shes got her body clock all messed up, that might help us get her to sleep on a night. It can take anything from 30 mins to 5 hours to get her to sleep sometimes!! Not good for sanity! Plus we're trying to get rid of the dummy as it seems to be causing more probs than curing them and we/her are getting too reliant on it now and when it falls out on a night she screams blue murder for it, which is meanign we are up every 20 mins sticking it back in! :nope:

Oh well, its all new to us and we are still learning. Its bloody tough though!!! All worth it of course :flower:

on a side note after stating i feel refreshed earlier i now feel a little fluey ,any other ladies who had a c-section felt this way a week later or so ? i dont think its an infection  maybe just my body adjusting

Well ladies after this mornings false labour....and my well deserved nap. I decided today was going tobe about me. I took time for myself. No housework at all (but it shows in the kitchen...lol) Anyways I did my nails with my new nail polish from christmas and I even trimmed up my lady garden. Which im sure some of you know is no easy task!!!! LOL Thank goodness OH got me a full length mirror for x-mas so I wasn't going in completely blind but it was still awkward. I also thought about cleaning up my eyebrows but decided I didn't really care anymore, I feel pretty enough with just my nails done seeming as I hardly ever do my nails anymore. So im feeling pretty good at the moment.

Im taking Tessa, my daughter, to our playgroup tomorrow. They have been closed for 3 weeks with the holidays so im excited to see everyone and im sure tessa will have fun as always. and we only have 1 more week to go before baby should be here (unless he comes before the planned c-section) and then it will be a while before we get out cuz i cant drive for a few weeks, and im not sure how much energy im going to have once i can drive.

So im trying to make the best of the next few days adn spend lots of time with her.

Hope everyone is doing well. Im off to bed now!!!!!!!

Hi Ladies,

I can finally join you. Mackenzie Natalie was born via c-sec at 13:29 on 30-12-2010. She weighed 3.55kg(7.8lb) and is 50cm tall. She is absolutely gorgeous and I can't stop staring at her. I will post a pic soon.

HI, so glad you can join us hows things going?

Thanks Sarah. Life has been crazy since I got back from hospital. Doc discharged me a day early cos I was doing really well after the c-sec. I had an awesome birth experience, from epidural to recovery. But now I have really sore nipples and a headache that is there 24hrs a day. The only time it goes away is when I am lying completely horizontal and I have too much to do to have to stay like that. I went to have my blood pressure checked yesterday just in case it was that but it was 140/80 which isn't too high.

Other than that Mackenzie is a little angel and so perfect in every way. I still need to take time to write my birth story but at the rate things are going I don't think I'll ever get round to it.

I can't believe how many births I have missed on here. Congrats to Neko, Blessed, Lovealittle, Lostunicorn, Ama and Mystique :baby: :hugs:

Ama just keep an eye on it as I started feeling fluey, then got the shakes to the point I could hardly walk or talk and had 3 duvets over me in bed and then started getting night sweats. Thought it was side effects of coming off v strong pain meds but when it wasnt going i went to a&e and it was a urinary infection from the catheter and am now on antibiotics. Set me back in my recovery and am still not 100%. I'm not saying this will happen to you, just keep a check on things as the longer it is left the worse it is and longer it takes to treat :hugs:

Hi Jolene welcome to the mummies thread! Would be v interested to read ur birth story as I had emergency c sec and though it went pretty smoothly, I wouldnt say it was the perfect procedure (i passed out and missed her being born) and recovery has been tough.

Anyway, have seen ur pics, Mackenzie is gorgeous!

my first day alone with Joe, just sent my son off to school. Am looking forward to it although I have to go shopping and its raining and have to get Joe some more Gaviscon from the Drs which is in the other direction, cant wait til i can drive again. Gonna go shopping, cook dinner for tonight then try and get some sleep as im doing the night feeds myself as OH is back at work

Hiya all January Mummies :D

First day with Jennifer by myself...so far not too bad although she has terrible wind so won't let me put her down....not great for actually getting any house work done. This will teach me for forgetting a dose of infacol!!!!

I have an idea (well kinda adapted from an old thread but) and thought I'd share. We post our feeding routines for our LO's on a thread and then via PM swap mobile numbers. This way if it is 3am and all falling apart (or we are just bored/need to stay awake etc etc) and we can't wake OH's due to them going to work, we can text people who have similar feeding times to us. What do you think...good idea or just loser like???

Hmmm Jennifer is curled up like a cat on her front in my arms....why is it that wind only hurts when she's on her back? Hopefully she will get rid of it by the next feed, I had a lot plannned for today.

Catch you later

xxx
