Oh Tracy bless you sounds like you having a rough time! Obviously no experience of sections but when someone has abdominal surgery it's important to keep moving little bits to prevent dvt. You need to relax those tummy muscles tho if your wound has reopened already. Your definately higher risk of infection so like Laura said keep checking it! If laying down is more comfortable is someone around to help you get up?

Other than this tho hun how you getting on with baby? Cant imagine having all that to deal with and having a newborn! I've felt so lucky this time I've felt so well and barely sore at all. I felt like I'd been hit by a bus for 2 weeks after Corey this has been a welcome surprise! Just Fearne feeding like mad been hard! I really feel for you! Take care and get better soon! You'll prob find when you turn that corner and start healing it will get a lot better a lot quicker x

Finally got a shower! Just eating breakfast while Joe sleeps upstairs, got the monitor on. Might even have a go at some ironing!

Morning. Well dummy was a massive fail, I guess nothings just like mummy's nipples :dohh:

I slept nearly all evening on the sofa so dont fee dead toody.

Well everyone went to bed at 11pm but Hollys not due a feed til midnight so I'm sat here on my lonesome waiting until she wakes up....ho hum...

'fee dead toody'? Fraggles???? :haha: I think you need more sleep, lol.

Jade, why are you talking about diet already. You've just had a baby!!! I'm still hoping the breastfeeding will help me lose the last 3kg I have left to lose and firm up my flabby tummy.

Would love to comment on all your posts but life is crazy. Got visitors coming this morning and need to get my butt in the shower if Mackenzie allows it!

:haha: im multi tasking, got baby on one boob and trying to pump the other. Im onto just the pump now so can type marginally better

Hey all, getting excited to think I'll soon be posting about Michael on here. Love to you Tracy x So it's day 6 overdue and now starting to wonder like how much mucous does one lose - it's gross! Thought I'd lost it all yesterday but oh no, soooo much more this am!

We tell N that Jacob is his baby so he's learning to heplook after him. We praise the good and try to ignore the bad behaviour so N gets lots of attention when good. If he tries something which would hurt Jacob we remove him from the situation with little attention and as soon as he strats doing something good. He gets lots of praise. Seems to be wprking for us so far.

I saw this problem on the baby whisperer - she got the Mum or Dad to put the sibling on the floor in between their knees facing away from them for 2 minutes as soon as he hit out at the baby. The parent had to say firmly 'no hitting' and then ignore the child. If they cried she let them calm down then gently said about being gentle with baby before it was all forgotten about.
Another tactic she had was a bag of different toys to distract the sibling when baby was feeding off Mummy - the toys only came out at feeding time and distracted the older one.

Sorry im not commenting on all your posts ladies. Im to tired but wanted to share my experience of last nght.

So 2 days ago Quinn started having this cough. A barking kind of cough. It started to get worse last night so I googled when to take baby to Dr and Babys cough and stuff like that. Everything I read about a barking sounding cough said it was croup. I was planning on running the hot shower and bringing him in the bathroom to clear things out today but after his feed at midnight He threw up this yellow foamy stuff and really freaked me out. I rushed to the hospital worried about him. It was not breastmilk he threw up.
The Dr said he very highly doubts its croup. he has hardly seem croup in babies under a year and only seem one case of it with a baby under 6 months and has NEVER heard of a case of croup in a 12 day old baby. He did however agree the cough sounded croup like. The vomit was probably a mix of mucous and bile so he said not to worry about it.
Dr said there is one thing he could think of that causes a croup sounding cough, but its not croup. I can't remember the medical term he used but basically the esophogus (sp?) kind of moves or something and causes a little swelling of the vocal cords which causes the barking cough. He said its not something to worry about unless babys chest is caving in while breathing....which quinns is not. He said this condition will fix its self over time. But if he seems to get worse bring him back.

I was so worried taht he was really sick and it turns out to be northing. I feel better for taking him to the hospital thou. We got home around 3am adn Quinn wanted to feed on and off for 2-3 hours so ive not had much sleep. and everytime he coughed it woke me up. Still sounds very scarry but i know hes ok.
sorry this ended up being a longer post than what i planned!

Ooh scary Laura! Glad Quinn is ok tho, you do right to check! X

im glad Quinn is ok

who will be the next mummy to join..........its v quiet over there. wonder if its susie

Glad Quinn is ok Laura.

Jade - don't have any advice with Caine Hun but hope it gets better soon :hugs:

I still have about 7 lbs to lose but not concerned anymore.

kieran's weight is still a concern. He is gaining but not enough according to all the charts etc. He has loads of bm's and wet diapers though  he has a bm at almost every feeding. We will have him weighed again this week and if not enough weight gain we will have to do something different  please keep us in your thoughts I am so determined to ebf. I just really really want it to work out!

As for mucous plugs yes they are nasty but I remember the pure excitement when I saw mine!!!

Happy Saturday
