Jude or Ralph?!

Got a really cheeky baby and thats what makes me want to call him Ralph but EVERYONE else thinks Jude as that was our first choice.... which does everyone think??

I think both are lovely.....which would sound best with his surname?

We're finding it really difficult to think of boys names but luckily we've been told that it's 80% gonna be a girl!

You should go with what you think....imagine yourself calling him the names in everyday life. I like Lottie (short for Charlotte) for a girl but OH said he might feel daft shouting that in public....men, eh!!!

Lottie was on our girl list hehe its lovely!!! The difficult thing is, both go with the surname and both go with the middle name we want too! I can imagine calling him Ralph more and its a cheeky name like he clearly is!! I love it personally and wish people with bad opinions wouldnt give them!! xx

i know everyone's entitled to their own opinion but i ask how you ladies would like it if you asked people their favorite out of 2 names that you have painstakingly chosen for your darling unborn child to have people tell you flat out they 'are not a fan'
Im not saying dont have an opinion but im just not sure its a particularly nice thing to say to someone and i wonder how you would feel if you had that response from other people!!! the saying if you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything at all springs to mind (especially about something so personal and to someone who as we all know is likely in a pregnant emotional state of mind!)

Trashit - i say go for which ever name you like best ( i get the impression you prefer Ralph) only you know the personality of your baby and only you have to live with the decision, I personally prefer Ralph myself...

Im sure youll choose what ever is best...

You just put a massive smile on my face! i couldn't agree more, i haven't ever been negative towards anyone on any of these forums and would NEVER put anyone elses names down so i dont appreciate people putting mine down =( it made me quite upset and offended! I didn't ask whether people liked them i just wanted help deciding between the two!!

I agree with Mrsty. There is no need for people to upset you. The names are your choice and you need to decide. Both names are lovely and you are right - Ralph seems so cheeky!!
However, if I didn't like either name, I would simply steer clear of the post, not knock the names

sorry but I don't like Ralph either and I'm not going to feel bad about saying so. An opinion was asked and that's what's been given. No doubt there are plenty of names that people don't like and say so. I really can't see the point in asking an opinion if it's expected that an individuals opinion isn't given, that's what an opinion is isn't it????

If I ask my OH if my bum looks big in something, I'd go bonkers if he said no just to please me, I'm asking for his opinion but maybe I'm a bit wierd for expecting a truthful answer.

Personnally it wouldn't bother me if someone didn't like my baby name, after all, it's my name and I choose it because I like it not someone else.

I really like them both! But, if he is as cheeky as you say, i would think Ralph would be fitting, makes me think of a giggling cheeky monkey! What are your middle and surnames? It might help to hear the whole name together?

I prefer Jude...its different and seems more like a young and hip name vs Ralph.

I prefer Jude, over Ralph... i also think it sounds more modern. You have to go with what feels more right to you though.

Both names are very cute , but I think Jude pips it to the post for me, I know a little boy called Jude from my sons school and he is sooo cute . It was also a name that I suggested to DH before we found out we were on team pink. xx
