Just a bit of sunday fun....

Oh yeh... Sunday. Last Sunday Arj said she had 4 left - LIAR!!

Haha! I miss arj... Bet she's getting her boys ready to come home. And I missed you during the last few days... :sad1:

Oh Honey!!! :hugs:

I've barely sat down for 3 days. Mum and the in-laws were here at the same time (Mum is still here) so I had to go shopping with in-laws, then Mum, then had to clean up, then had to move stuff out of the spare room into their car to take back down with them. THEN we've cleaned the spare room up to organise more stuff to throw out, donate and send back to NSW with Mum. I've just sat down this afternoon.
She's heading home in a couple of days taking a bunch of junk :D I'm going insane with my little brother here (he's 10) - he just NEVER SHUTS THE HELL UP. Everyone talks at the same time and demands everything at the same time and my mind is completely mashed up!!! ***GGGRRAWWWW*** Lol ok, I'm calm again. I just need some time with DH; we haven't had a weekend together alone for 4 weeks :( He's back to work in the morning.

Oh my... Keeping up with the whole fam damily... Sounds like you got a lot of stuff sorted though, good!

LOL. Was just thinking of you.

Family is finally gone. Booked into see an OBs tomorrow - had 3-7 min BHs yesterday (they've decreased a bit today) but now I've got diarrhoea :( I'm assuming just a false alarm but they got me in tomorrow so I'm going to have a chat to them :)

How are you?! How's your not-so-LO hehe. Mine hasn't stopped wiggling for the last 2 days.

Yes, definitely get checked out, Girl. Maybe entertaining your family was a little stressful? I'm sure you and LO will be fine. :hugs: LO is doing great, she's also been kicking/punching a lot. :cloud9:

Yeh more than likely just the added stress. They're increasing again tonight though :/ My hospital is on notice and they want me up immediately if it gets as bad as yesterday. *whinge moan complain*

Wonder how Arj is - any news from her?

I would probably get checked out tonight then, put your mind at ease. No news from the twins yet, will send her a message at the end of the week if she hasn't updated until then.

Surprisingly I'm really not too concerned; ordinarily I would have gone up last night but I'm so use to these stupid BHs that it's not a huge worry. It's just the added diarrhoea that doesn't sit well with me - that's why I booked the OBs tomorrow (thankfully they had a cancellation :D). They might hook me up to a CTG to see if I'm still contracting. I just feel yucky this evening.

Any new news with you? Family visits? Nursery arranging? I feel like all I talk about is me; lets talk about you!!

You know, I've been getting this yucky feeling you've described in third trimester every now and again. Most of the time during dinner, to the point that it felt like I was going to spew right then and there... Luckily, it never happened and I would be fine a few minutes later. Perhaps Kaida is squishing your stomach now?

I'm a part-time nurse at the moment, as my DF underwent spine surgery yesterday. It went well, he's already walking around the room a bit. Gosh, I just wish I could handle body fluids a bit better... I'm such a wuss... 8-[ I honestly take my hat off to doctors and nurses. And to med students! :winkwink:

No family visits this year. We might have to set up a live feed on Skype once LO is here. :haha: LO will not have a separate room as we currently live in a one bedroom apartment. We have all the essentials though. Have you chosen a pram yet?

Yep, certainly have - got a strider 4 with the removable car capsule. Problem is, if she continues this trend with ridiculously long legs she won't fit for long ;)

Feeling sick sucks. Hrm, perhaps birth will assist you with the body fluids thing - rumour has it that birth involves a lot of fluid ;) I can handle wee, poop, spinal fluid etc. but sputum grosses me out to the max. Ack.

Hope your OH is doing ok, what was the spinal surg for?

ZOMG this kid constantly has hiccups haha - 3rd time today. Good to see she's practising that magical breathing technique thingy...

Yah, I will have to face them body fluids very soon. Though I think the pain will render me indifferent and oblivious to the many things coming out of me then...

DF had two degenerated discs which were causing him immense discomfort and pain. So we figured, this better get sorted before LO arrives.

Sorry for the delay; been a busy couple of days.

I actually ended up bleeding the night before. Called the hospital who said if it increases (it was spotting) or baby reduced her movements to come in. So I waited until my appointment the following day.

Went in and got a wonderful gynae who listened well. She wasn't happy with my symptoms so she did a pelvic check and organised a scan. The speculum hurt like all hell yesterday which is really strange for me - they're usually uncomfortable, sure. But not full on painful.

Was sent for the scan a couple of hours later and got an abdo and trans vaginal. The abdo looked good. My beautiful baby is 2lb 1oz now (938 grams - almost a kilo!!!!) And wiggling up a storm.

The trans vaginal scan showed what the sonnographer interpreted as funnelling and dialation of the internal os BUT with 3.2cm of closed cervix behind it so she was confused. She talked to the OB and by this time I was frantic and crying. DH was so great comforting me. I asked to speak directly to the OB. He came in and basically mocked me. He was trying to lighten the mood but just ended up making me feel stupid for being upset. He said with 3.2cm of closed cervix he basically doesn't know why it looked funneled. I told him I was really petrified of PTL and again he laughed. He called in a midwife and asked her to hook me up to the CTG to monitor contractions. DH spoke up at this point and said that I wasn't really concerned about my BHs, it's that cervix change that scares me. Well the OB vanished (went home I assume as it was 5pm) and I was in this room hooked up. My wiggly bean wriggled the whole time (I loved it) and she said "see? She's fine" I said I knew she was ok, it's ME. But she couldn't help at this point because the OB was gone. Then she told me to seek counseling - I'd told her I'd tried but kept getting passed off.

So... I'm confused and have NO idea what's going on. From what I can gather there were changes but not enough to warrant concern. Of course that's said said than done. I'm not panicked, I'm not in tears or anything, I'm just confused. And tired.

I just want an explanation. I'm not a sonnographer, I'm not a doctor yet and I'm far from a specialist so I need things spelled out. Especially as a panicky mother to be.

I also have to go in now to get a repeat swab because my swabs got mixed up. I'm not grumpy; I'd prefer they did this than just leave it. So I'm heading off now. I'm going to ask to speak to a consultant and get a proper explanation about yesterday. Now that I'm in a better frame of mind I can ask questions.

Ack! Your poor DF. Spinal degeneration really sucks but I'm thrilled the surgery went complication-free :D How's he recovering now? Any indication of if it helped? I assume it'll be a little while before he feels the full relief.

Gee... That OB sounds like a right twat! :growlmad: How dare he mock you?! What a dick, glad your hubby let him have it. Gah...!! As if having to deal with bleeding and BH isn't enough. I hope you get the answers to all your questions today, keep me posted!

DF will be discharged shortly, can't wait to have him home again. He feels so much better already, still in a bit of pain (mainly from the wound) but overall he seems to be recovering very well.
