Just a general question about discharge/fluids.

I should have asked the doctor this the other day but i didnt really think ahead. I was concerned a day or two before my appointment about leaking fluids but the ultrasound tech looked and said it was good. So, now im back to square one. I am always paranoid about leaking amniotic fluid and i wont know it. I wasnt having much discharge when i first started second tri, but it seems to be increasing. And sorry, TMI, but i feel wet down there a lot. But like right now i feel wet but my panties seem dry. I guess my question is how do you know when its just normal pregnancy discharge or when it is something more serious?

Amniotic fluid would be a gush, or a constant leak. Enough to feel/fill a pad.
Discharge increases as time goes on, and it could also be urine leaking. I know it sounds gross, but it happens. I pee a little when I cough/sneeze (sorry tmi), and constantly have discharge.

I wish it wasn't because I hate it. I want to enjoy this pregnancy but its hard to relax cause I have no idea what's normal and what is cause for concern. And of course the drs appointments are once a month right now. So my reassurance its short lived.

My waters leaked a wee bit at 18 weeks, you can tell by smell and how it dries, like if it's discharge it should dry a white-ish colour. Don't worry though, I got told my body was getting rid of some fluid as I might have had too much, which I believe from when my waters actually went, it was a big, warm gush, like having a wee but without the pressure iykwim?
