Just found something out and think it adds up, your opinions please...

Ok so, on Monday and Tuesday I had intermittent cramping and spotting. On Tuesday I did an OPK which was negative. I had put the spotting and cramping down to the miscarriage I had last month. Until just now. My app had said I was due to ovulate Tuesday, hence I did the OPK. Little did I realise or consider, had i ovulated already it would be negative! I just did some reading up and found out that ovulation bleeding can happen! As if I’m 39 and just found this out. I mean, really!!!!! So, would the spotting have taken place as I was ovulating? Which would mean I ovulated Monday or Tuesday which would give a negative OPK or would I have ovulated a day or so before? The only reason I had doubted the ovulation date on the app was because it seemed to close to period ending. Never gave thought that it goes from when period started! Me and OH were active both Saturday and Sunday so if I ovulated between then and Tuesday we are in fact in with a chance this month....??

I've never heard of ovulation bleeding either But if you did the BD any time during your fertility window, you're definitely in! Fx!

It was all over google! Even on the nhs site. Trouble is/was I can’t be certain I did as I have no idea if my cycle is even a cycle yet. Potential I could be in the TWW which is depressing enough without not even knowing where you are in your cycle which is why I did the OPK in the first place, to try pinpoint. But now I’m out of OPK and waiting for the delivery. Why is the whole TTC thing so damn hard. It makes me feel like just giving up to be honest...

I am sorry to read about you miscarriage! Ovulation bleeding can occur but it is pretty rare. I believe I read 3% of ladies have ovulation bleeding. Which is from when the estrogen drops for a moment after egg release. However, if this isn't something you normally experience I am not sure if that is the cause. Miscarriages can throw off your hormones for a bit and sometimes it can take a bit for them to get back to normal. I would have told you to continue to test but since you are out of opks keep doing the deed every other day at least if you can! Good luck!!

That’s what I read too. My OPK turned up today so I have done another. I will attach tuesdays (green) and today’s (purple) as the two in between were lighter and not line at all. According to my app I’m cd19 today so I’m at a complete loss right now. Thank you for your reply xx

That purple one looks darker so maybe you are going to O a little late. I o'd on day 21 with this pregnancy. Keep testing!
