I realise that sounds weird, but I can't think of how else to say it If DH remembers rightly, he died after an accident at the Ulster GP (which they don't have anymore)? Really sorry that you didn't get to meet him (because he was your uncle, not because he was an awesome racer)

Yeah that sounds about right. He married my Grandad's sister, my great aunt who is an amazing lady. I might wikipedia him, I don't know very much about him really xx

He rode in the Moto GP Premier class, but his biggest successes were at things like the Isle of Man TT, iirc. Which is pretty darn spectacular, the TT is a phenomenal event
