I have made an appointment to see doctor last week, to talk to see if they can raise the MG of tablets that I am currently uses (I am currently on Meformin 500mg once per day) on this Thursday 17th February, that's which my husband and my mum (and so I too) thinks i should see doctor to discuss about it.

The reason I am on Meformin was because i have got problem with my period thats which is irregular and got little hairs on my chin and has been tests for PCOS, and they was still NOT sure wether i have PCOS or not, as I am 'unusal patient' to confirm, so they put me on Meformin anyway.

(By the way, I am not having diabetics, my gp says it can be uses for non-diabetics who having PCOS or whatever it is)

I have been on Meformin 500mg once a day since July 2010 (7 half month now), and it is very SLIGHTLY improve, but is still not good enough. My period used to be every about 8 to 12 weeks before started Meformin.. but now Average Cycle 39 days (mymonthlycycles said so), as you can see its bit improve, but is still not good enough, especially we are trying for a baby thats make it difficult as my ovulation dates can be mixed up as its irregular!

Let's hope the sign language interperter turn up THIS TIME on this Thursday for my doctor appointment (as you see I am profoundly deaf), as the interpreter didn't turn up last time when they was suppose to be there as the reception said that they did booked the interpreter, that's which is so annoyed :growlmad:.

But thanks god for my mum, as my mum offered me to come with me to my appointment on this Thursday for in the case if interpreter not turn up, then my mum can have a word with GP reception. As they can be in big trouble.

Anyway.....Maybe my doctor will raise the mg of meformin? Or will they put me on different tablets? Can you suggest me what should I do about it? Am i made right decision to go back to see doctor about it?

Thank you for your time !!

Looking forward to hear from you all soon! :-D

Babydust to you all x

definitely, you have made the right decision in going back. but i will say that they might not be to keen to increase your dosage as to much can be bad for you. it could over do it on the insulin and then you may start to undo all the good you have done so far. but that is for your doctor to decide.

that is shocking that the interpreter didn't turn up, that is if they really did ask for one... i say that because my husbands auntie is deaf in both ears and although she can lip read she misses some things that are said, but that is not the point, she has had to put in a grievance to the health board about her GP practice as they have repeatedly failed to have an interpreter for her. and it was discovered that the didn't even contact an interpreter even though one was asked for by Jean (DH's auntie). i hope that this is not the case for you though.

Lots of baby dust to you :dust:
