just started clomid for first time plz help!!

i have just started clomid for the first time today our ivf doctor gave me them to take each month until we can afford ivf treatment and as i already ovulate shes not hopeful ill get anywhere on them but said its best to be doing something than nothing at all! shes not going to track me on clomid or give me any scans or anything infact shes given me 4 months supply and told me to ring the clinic when i can pay for the ivf treatment, anyway ladies i was just wanting to ask if anyone knows roughly how long after taking clomid from cd2 for 5 days will i ovulate?? im very confused please help anyone!!

Lots of clomid users on this forum so I'm sure more of your questions will be answered.

You will normally ovulate 5-9 days after your last pill.

I hope you'll use OPK to help you pinpoint when you're about to ovulate.

I strongly advise you to take the pill before going to bed so you kind of sleep through the side-effects (if any) - I did this and I did not have any side effects that I know of (except hot flushes one night).

I agree with this. My first round I took them in the am and had awful side effects for about 4 hour after taking it. The second round I took it in the evening and slept through side effects.
