Maybe you could look on it differently. Maybe it was fate that you were going to crash your car and it would have happened anyway. In which case you were REALLY lucky not to be seriously injured (or worse). Hard, I know, but try to think of it as a lucky experience.

Don't get me wrong...I really feel for you and it must have been a dreadful thing to happen. I'm genuinely sorry that you're in pain with your collar bone, etc. When I crashed last year it really helped me to think like this, that actually I'd had a lucky escape and it could have been so much worse. I can remember lying for hours in the hospital...they wouldn't let me move or anything until the xrays had been checked out and I was thinking "What if I HAVE broken my back?...what if I have to spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair?". I was then sooooo happy to walk (ok...maybe hobble!!!) out of the hospital that it helped me not to fall to pieces. Still, a year on, I think about it everytime I'm in a car, but it's a reminder of my good luck, not my bad luck.

I hope that makes sense. It shakes you up terribly to go through something like that, but as someone else said, your guardian angel was looking after you.
