Im 15 weeks pregnant, father of baby doesnt seem interested at all, not been in contact at all, He's in a new realionship maybe one of the reasons why hes not been in touch etc.. I've not tried getting in contact for a while and tbh dont think im going to waste my time.

Just few questions,

Anyone been in the same situation?

Did u give up trying to get him involved?

When do you think you should give up trying?

Did he come around to the idea and get in contact anytime in your pregnacy?

I'm in a similar situation to you, except my ex (who is still single) keeps deciding to be friends, then he never wants to see me again. Now I've decided to cut him off for a little while.

Looking at the situation with my 1st son. I'm not sure if I want the contact or not

Similar-ish situation, although now he's single and still doesn't want to be involved. Coward.

I never really tried, tbh - I let him know from the start that he was welcome to be involved but that I wouldn't pressure him into anything. Tbh, if he has to be pressured into getting involved, then I don't want him in my daughter's life - she deserves a dad who actually gives a damn and makes the effort himself.

When Lily was 3 months, I asked him for maintenance, which he pays, but there's been no other involvement from him.

There's the odd email or phone call but not enough to count as regular contact.

Not in a situation like that, but I spose it's best to leave him hun. You've tried, now it's time to think about you and your baby, and it's not good for you to get stressed out over a prick x
