My 'friend' thought she would give me abit of her so called advice! I told her im eating little snacks all day, like yoghurts, jelly, etc, and she said, 'fat people gain weight quicker when theyre eating all day, you need to eat meals rather than snacking'.
Im thinking excuse me, have you ever been preg, do you know how sick it makes you feel that you eat anything to keep it down, and as for the 'fat' insult, i weigh just under 9 stone at 5 foot 6, which in no way makes me fat!
God i wish people would just worry about theirselves!
It sounds like you're far from overweight, but regardless, I'm quite sure what your 'friend' said isn't true. Being omnivorous, humans are natural foragers. Eating small amounts regularly means that you have a constant trickle supplies of nutrients and calories throughout the day, as a result your metabolism is quicker because our body has no need to store energy (fat) and be over efficient. Unlike if you eat only a few times a day, this causes you to have a slower metabolism, which is your body being ultra efficient and makes those calories go further, because it doesn't know when the next meal might come. I've not explained myself very well but hopefully you get my meaning. If you lived in a poor country with little food a slow metabolism would be a good thing.
