I woundn't worry too much about leakage. Supposedly the sperm take off right away and the rest left behind is just fluid. What i would worry about is fem fresh. I'm not sure what it is, but ALL that stuff interferes with sperm, or the ph in the vagina. Remember that sperm need an alkaline vagina to live, which is not our normal ph..we are usually acidic. During fertile time our EWCM is supposedly more alkaline and the sperm can live in it, unlike out cervical fluid at other times of the month. So if you are putting a bunch of stuff in you that is the wrong ph, or has other things harmful to sperm, this could definitely make a difference. I hope it is something as easy as that for you! Preseed is a great lubricant that is sperm friendly for those days that we really don't feel like BDing! Fingers crossed for you!!

HI HUN just wanna say great advice and your deffo right !!!

I hope too its just a case of me using vigina sprays/creams etc ive prob with being clean , im obsessed i shower or bath 2x aday etc i just wanna be nice down there if you know what i mean ??
but getting bfp is more important and just ovulated so will start this ready for next cycle.

can i ask everyonea tmi questiondont anserw if you think im nuts -what do all you ladies do , ??JUST USE WATER ETC?

Thank you all for comments very intresting and the laughing thing ,my mother in-law will start banging the wall at me is i start laughing lol she's a right one weve to have quiet BD .were getting own place but at min we stay at his from thursday-monday always cover ovulation ,.

Do you mean what do we use to clean ourselves down there? I use body wash and water. I douche after af but I read somewhere not to if your ttc.

I use dove sensitive soap just on the outside. I think we obsess too much about being clean. I don't like ot do anything before showering either, but honestly I think just the outside needs to be clean. Our CM shouldn't smell....if it does there probably is a reason, so I really believe that if we just clean the outside without douching etc, we should be fine. I don't know, what do you all think? I never notice a smell unless I am sweating or something, but it is not coming from the inside, it is just my skin that needs to be washed. I will say that sometimes right after my period or when I ovulate i notice a weird smell, but it only lasts two days and then disappears. I read that we often have an imbalance in ph due to getting our period, sex etc and our body corrects itself.

Yeah I have an af odor when it's the last day. Thats why I use to douche. Showering daily seems to take care of anything else that might be going on down there. As far as cm, mine doesn't have an odor either. Yes I've smelt it before; lol is that weird?

i noticed u ladies from USA -im from uk and not sure what dought means lol , does itmean a wash or powder for our bits lol??

yea i use , fruity stuff to wash , like strawberry body wash /showe gel and wipes and sprays and lotion actually writing that made me realise how much i do use .

i dont smell either ,but when af around always feel a bit un-clean esp in heat .Or after sex exp had sex on night , then next morning when go the bathroom for a wee i might get odd sex smell .

I love using dove its fav i got showe gels/bath cream , shampoo etc soap .
im gonna take your advice ladies and just wash outside with dove and use water .

haha this is a funny tmi thread. The douches I have is like this plastic bottle with this cleansing liquid it will be clear looking and you take the bottle and shove it up you vah jay jay and squeeze the bottle and the liquid goes up and then pours back out cleaning your inside area. But i've been hearing such bad things that I have stopped doing it.

Ok so I hope I dont get kicked off for posting this its a little TMI and graphic but someone posted pics of their cervix so it should be fine. Anyway I was having the same problem and puting my knees to my chin helped so that when I got up it didnt all come out, I also read somewhere that if you masturbate (only on the outside with your clitoris) so that your uterus contracts your cervix will open up and take more of the semen in. I did it last month and we got preggers, ended up in an early mc but it worked! We also use preseed since I dont have alot of EWCM. Anyway worth a shot, of course DH thought I was crazy since we had just BD'd hehe but I told him it wasnt for pleasure necessarily!

ha ha no one is getting kicked off for TMI posts , i think we dont talk enough about these things , weall got same bits and AFS etcetc were women for god sake.

i cant believe you yanks (no offence love em) have a bottle wash you stick inside yourselfs and wash , thats crazy we dont have that here uk wish they did sounds good lol
we have something called fem-fresh its special female wash ,it comes in wash,powder,spray, wipes .Ive used all of them in past.
i even use baby wipes down there too .

no wonder havent got bfp yet after 16months ,and had many trips to gum clinics with mega thrush and BV lol from all ph balanced fem-fresh .

Oh you don't want to use douches. I did a lot of research on them not to long ago and they can do a lot of harm. I use summer's eve here. They have wipes body washes and sprays even DOUCHES. But my dr told me not to douche or use the sprays anymore b/c they can cause infections. So I just do the regular washing now. I sweat a lot so I always try to make sure i'm very clean.

yea know what you mean about clean thing ,im terriable at keep clean .I go way to far on products i spend somuch on keepclean that imoften broke esp with opks aswell.

Your doctor is right these products do cause infections , ive had about 5 in last 16months , ive had thrush BV witch is bactiria fungal inefction ,again again again
yet i never learn.

looks like just gonna use dove now ,all though weather is hot in uk at min very hot so immore aware of down stairs(my bits lol) .

Also was gonna now bring up CM , everyone says know when ovulating as cm , but i never ever get it till 4-5days after ovulation, and i got alot opks and mointor and i amovulating on days i get bfp opks but always get cm 4-5days later , i just hope all these opks aint wrong and ovulate later than ithink.
my cycle is 27days long i ovulate cd11,12 every month without fail ,periods are brillinat always on time .its cd 16 today and got cm i just hopeopks and mointor called clear blue fertiltiy mointor isnt wrong !!!

I have been NTNP for about 3 yrs and actually trying for 2 months. I have no idea what to tell you about the EWCM because I never get any. There are online websites that sell opks and pregnancy tests a lot cheaper. I spent a lot of money getting them at the store. Never again!
