Hi ladies

I'm now 26 weeks but there are some days when I hardly feel my baby move. I thought he'd be going mad by now. I'm desperate for my OH to feel him as I think this will make him feel more involved.

Am I right to be slightly concerned?

Btw I am a plus sized mummy (sized 18) if this makes a difference.

Thanks

Teresa xx

Might be that you have an anterior placenta. I've got extra layers too and I am bigger than you :winkwink: plus I had an anterior placenta so always worried that I couldn't feel baby. Took until about 27/28 weeks before there were any outside flutters for dh to feel. I often used my Doppler for reassurance instead so invest in one of them if you want peace of mind.

To get some movement, drink something really cold, iced water or orange juice, lie on your left side and then you should feel baby move after 5/10 minutes. You could then try lying next to your oh or with him with his hand on your tummy, although my dh could feel our little girl when I led on my back.
Don't worry if you can't feel outside kicks just yet, they are just around the corner, I promise.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and don't get hung up on the size thing, I had a nice easy natural birth despite the extra padding!!

I'm plus size momma to... baby boy didn't move as much as my daughter did... but now at 33 weeks... you can sit and watch my stomach roll...

I see this post is old.. Has your baby started moving more now??
