Ok, so I'll try to explain this the best way that I can and make it easy to follow. I am just wanting to get opinions on if you think my cycles seem regular, if it seems like I may have an issue somewhere or if things seem normal. I know nobody here is a doctor and its hard to know cause everyone is different. I'm just getting to the point where I need to know if I should see a fertility doctor or am i just an unfortunate one who takes longer to get pregnant. How can you know if your tubes are blocked without having the HSG done? ANY OPINIONS WOULD BE GREAT!

Basically DH and I have been ttc a total of 19 months (5 months NTNP, and 14 TTC) I had a chemical pregnany at 5 weeks in October 2012. I am a Full time student so we only have one income at the moment. Our insurance does not cover anything fertility so if we go that route it will be out of pocket and like I said with one income at the moment I'd rather not have to until I graduate in a year from now.

I have seen my regular OB/GYN a few times now and this is what we've done:
-blood work: everything that will show in bloodwork was normal. (I didn't get numbers on anything other than progesterone though) When I got the progesterone numbers the first draw was cd23 at 3dpo and it was 12 I went back at 10dpo and it was at 6. (I had to do those days because of how the days of my cycle lined up with the days of the week)
-I've had papsmear done: normal he also checked ovaries and uterus and said they were perfect.
-when I had my chemical we did a few ultrasounds and they said that my tubes looked clear (i'm not sure if an ultrasound would show if my tubes were blocked or not, but they were making sure i wasn't having an ectopic and said my tubes were clear)
-Clomid: it was horrible and messed up my cycle so didn't continue it.
-talked about HSG and semen anaylsis. explain the insurance deal to him and he said that we can do the at home sperm count test since it was a whole lot cheaper. Said it wouldn't give the other factors, but as long as the count was good that could be a good indicator that things are ok. Said there is no way to know about my tubes being blocked without the HSG, but he said he strongly feels that they are not blocked.

What i've tried: (hopefully I dont leave anything out)
-Clomid: messed up cycle delayed it by 10 days, AF was all kind of weird
-Soy: messed up cycle delayed it by 15 days
-softcups
-temping
-ovualtion tests
-preseed
-butt in air after bd
-laying on stomache after bd
-geritol
-prenatal vitamins
-pineapple core
-baby asprin
-progesterone cream
-relaxing
-trying
-SMEP
-check cm and cervial position
-did my own semen analysis with DH sample and my microscope and compared it to a normal sample from the internet. (have a video of this)

My cycle:
AF: 2-3 tan/brown cm and spotting (this usually starts at 11 or 12 dpo) usually start bleeding on 14dpo. I have red bleeding for about 3 days. The first day or two of those I have cramping and alot of clots. Followed by another 2-3 days of spotting
Ovulation: I ovualte every month on either cd16 or cd20. Sometimes I can feel it, sometimes I can't
LP: its usually 13 days with AF starting on the 14th day. I usually start spotting on 11 or 12dpo (this seems like a concern to me recently)

Cycle I had a chemical:
-temp
-check cm and cervical position
-ovulated cd16
-took baby asprin here and there whenever I remembered
-used natural progesterone cream once a day until I got my bfp then ran out before I got to the dr.
-got bfp at 12dpo
-started spotting at 4w+5 or 4w+6 started bleeding at 5w

You are very similar to me in many ways. Insurance ,tests , period etc. Anyway I've been reading alot on estrogen dominance. Estrogen can be produced through soy by-products, found in lots of food items nowadays. Now it's the processed soy products, not edimomie (spelled wrong ) or tofu. I guess it's such a problem that most people men and women have an estrogen dominance problem. And estrogen dominance can lead to infertility, breast and testicular cancer. Hmmm. It really makes me wonder. I'm getting off my soap box now. So I'm trying to eat less processed foods and cutting back on soy milks etc. and am using progesterone cream (after ovulation of course). We'll see if it helps. I asked my doctor about hormone imbalances and it was brushed off. I don't think hormones are looked at in as much detail as they should. It's like" oh something is wrong? Just take clomid that should do something." So that's my rant. Best of luck to you.:hugs:

Thanks for the reply! My dr has given me promethium to try during LP to see if that works. I thought hormone imbalance too because I get terrible migraines for days right before ovulation usually or right before AF but my bloodwork was normal. He said the headaches are a sign I have a high estrogen surge and that's a good thing. Or something in that since and that only thing he could do other than what I'm doing now (Tylenol) is birth control to try to regulate it.. But def don't want birth control never been on it and don't want to start now.

I don't think you have blocked tubes, but I do think you have a estrogen dominance/progesterone deficiency. After you have confirmed o, wait a day and then start using natural progesterone cream twice a day (morning and night) until AF starts. Stock up on several jars of cream. You don't want to run out, because the tapering off of progesterone is what brings on AF. Oral meds can be destroyed by stomach acid, but the cream is absorbed right into your blood stream. Change up the spots where you apply it e.g. neck, wrists, bend of your arm etc.

Poly cystic ovarian syndrome? trust me, it can make things difficult when it comes to TTC

Ovulation isn't a problem. I ovulate just fine every month. Maybe ill order more cream and use that once a day and also take the prometrium once a day.
