Kindle or Kindle fire

Well i have been advice to get a kindle cus i av bad site and have been told not to read books that are making me eyes struggle to focus. I have actually thought for a while of getting a kindle but i have seen a kindle fire which is bigger. I love reading and love movies tv shows etc. But on the kindle fire does it just work like the normal kindle? Any help i would appreciate it

Sorry haven't played with a kindle fire but I love my kindle! The selling point with it is that the screen isn't backlit so it makes it really easy to read just like a book I don't know if the fire has the same sort of screen? But that would be one if my questions before buying x

I have the old kindle wifi. I like it because it's not a back lit screen so doesn't give me headaches etc. You can change the font size on it if that helps.

The Kindle Fire is their tablet PC. So it's kinda like the Kindle iPad. I'm assuming it's backlit as you can watch movies etc on it (I really should know for sure considering I'm getting one for Christmas )

What you might be better with is the Kindle Paperlight, as that has lights which come in frmo the side (not backlit). So you can still read it without an external light source, but it shouldn't cause glare headaches etc.

Or if you're not bothered about reading at night etc and disturbing anyone else with a bedside lamp, then a bog standard Kindle would be the cheapest option

I was going to buy a case for it which comes with a light. I really just dont know whether to get a normal kindle or kindle fire. I think i would be able to watch stuff while im out and about lol

Ive been wanting a Kindle for a while and the Fire is tempting but I think i'll probably get the Paperwhite. I don't need a Kindle to use apps

I wanted a kindle for christmas last year but my OH ended up getting me supernatural season 1-6 on blu ray even tho he knew i wanted a kindle. I felt like he got that cus its something he really liked lol

can i just give you a little heads up about kindles hun?
i was watching watchdog the other night, and the amount of people who had complained about all kindles was horrendous. you get a year guarantee with them, and they were freezing before the guarantee was up say around when the kindle was 10-11month old, so people sent them back got giving a new kindle free of charge but only given a 3month guarantee, and they were then freezing around the same age frame (10-11 months) people complained and got told they need to fork out for a brand new kindle and pay everything.. so be careful x
