In the last few days, I have had a hard time finding the babies heartbeat because it is always muffled by other sounds. I believe a little of it is my heartbeat, the placenta etc. Does anyone else have this problem? I used to be able to find it quick and only hear the heartbeat. Now I find it but don't hear it as easily do to the background noise. I was wondering if this was because the placenta is now more developed and possibly anterior. Please let me know if all of this seems correct. Thanks Ladies!

i'm not sure but mine seems to be the same too. with my first i could hear her clear as day by 8 weeks but this one im 10 weeks and can pick it up but it seems muffled or far away. I just thought it was due to my machine being dropped by my baby multiple times and now i'm just happy to pick up the heart beat knowing its still there just makes me feel better even when its muffled or far away. Could just be were your baby is since this time mines on my right and first was on the left.

I've had the same problem - I think you could be right with the placenta getting bigger - for a while (from 11.5 wks to 13 wks) I couldn't hear anything but the placenta unless I spent ages looking - even the slightest move in the doppler could mean hearing hb or not - also my bud moved from right side over to left during that time.
I found it much faster first thing in morning (after pee!) It always takes that bit longer in evenings - even now but I'm just getting more used to where my bud is.

I find mine on the complete opposite side than I did before. I am assuming this happens because now your uterus is large enough to where the baby can move around quite a bit ins tea of being isolated close to where it implanted. Also the placenta must be much larger.

I have this problem too sometimes. I think baby likes to hang out where he/she can listen in to my heartbeat because it always seems to be just under there lately! :haha:

This happened in my last pregnancy. There was a bit of a time frame that I couldn't pick up the heart beat like I had been... GL
