Hi ladies,
My 7 month old boy is breast fed and I introduced solids at 6 months old.
At about 5 months old he became distractable at the breast during the day and now at 7 months he's so distractable some days he doesn't feed at all (he has a two year old sister so we're never alone as such) and although he still feeds at night the health visitor suggested I add increased amounts of milk/dairy to his food for extra calcium.
So I've been adding whole milk to his food for the past week and giving him fromage frais and I think he might be reacting to it.
He's seemed crankier than usual and has had mucousy diaorhea several times per day, destroying his clothes and making him sore. He has also started spitting up more often than usual.
I spoke to the doctor as I wondered if he was reacting to the milk but he wasn't interested given the fact that to this point at least my son has been gaining weight on his centile line.
Does this sound like a reaction to milk or dairy to you?
I've not noticed any hives or reaction on my LO's skin at all.
Also, he has had this type of diarrhoea from time to time when he was EBF but nothing close to this amount or frequency.
Thanks in advance
