Just wondering if I'm the only one. I'm looking at April for mine.

Funny, you just posted about HSG. I had lap and dye in Nove now I'm going for HSG with tubal cannulation to unblock tube that showed up in lap!!

Yea I'm hoping the lap explains blocked tubes for me. Others it's all ivf.

What will they do if it does confirm blockage? I've had it the opposite way round. Was told to get an HSG to double check the tube didn't spasm ( I think unlikely otherwise I should have conceived by now). But I'm having hSG with tubal cannulation. So they check the tube first then insert a small catheter and wire to try unblock it. Fingers crossed as the blockage seems to be at the side I ovulate every month from.

:hi:
I had the hsg- they wasnt sure if the tube spasmed or was blocked...

Then had the laparoscopy and it showed it was blocked and they managed to unblock it there and then which was a relief as I now have two working tubes :)

Cooch- So are they going to try and unblock the tube during a hsg?? Will they be giving you pain relief? Only asking as I was in a lot of pain during my hsg (one tube was blocked I recon that was the pain).

Good Luck ladies :dust:
xx

Yeah I'm having light sedation, which doesn't ko but I won't remember a thing. They do check it with dye first. If its fine I only pay 80 euros if not they will do the next part and it'll be 350e all in. Not bad when you consider private HSG in Scotland is £377 without the unblocking part!!

I'm not certain what they do with lap

With hsg it was simply the dye test. No sedation I took aleve /naproxen. I not know if the cannulation is done in Canada. My understanding is blocked tubes if is the only option. Our provincial health insurance will cover some of the costs I believe up to three times then you privately cover. I'm scared of I've. Actually I'm scared of all of it. I thought yes we had no success but a quick fix would make it all better and it's not.

I'm trying to occupy my mind till my lap in April cause otherwise I'm going go nuts, because I was hopeful that I'd have my little one before my other turns 18. And that is such a slim chance now

Hi lawyer chick, I am from Ontario also and was hoping I could pick your brain a bit! Was it FS GP or OB/GYN that ordered your lap? I suspect endo for myself and am seeing ob next month and I am hoping he will order a lap I have been ttc around 2.5 years. When was your lap ordered? I was wondering what the wait would be like, as much as I love our medical system sometimes there is a big wait for non emergency surgeries.
I have been to an FS but did not like the clinic so my GP referred me to ob/gyn for further testing. We have had bloods, SA and ultrasound, all normal.

Hi Jennifer where in Ontario are you. I did ask gyn to do lap one of the two said she would withmy cone biospy(due to dysplasia) but my primary wouldn't.

My lap is through fert clinic but gyn at home(clinics 45 mins away) was prepared to do it years ago so I'm sure your gyn could do it. Best option is to be prepared and ask for what you want.

I saw dr feb 7 she told me they are scheduling for April. I'm calling Tuesday to follow up for exact date. My procedures have been quick with clinic so definately worth asking. Are there any fert linics closer to you?
There is one closer to me but I chose to go where I am because of hospital affiliation.
