My main concern is the anaesthetic! I haven't had one since I was a kid and you hear all these horror stories about people waking up while they're meant to be under. Just my luck that I'll be one of them! Plus I do NOT do well with needles, I've just about overcome my fear enough to deal with the endless blood tests but this time it'll be staying in there for more than a few seconds and I'm pretty grossed out about it!!!
The timing isn't the greatest but I'd rather have it done sooner than later and it means I get New Year's Eve off for the first time since I started this job 10 years ago

I've read on more than one site that peppermint tea is good for the shoulder pain so I'll get some of that (whether I can bring myself to drink it is another thing!) I think I'm mentally all prepared for it as much as I can be. Just have to wait!
