Hey ladies....

Well here's a little of my story...we've been ttc 1 1/2 years i'm 27 and fiance is 30. I was diagnosed 2 years ago with PCOS, been on metformin and 3 rounds of clomid...ovulated brilliantly with the clomid  but no BFP

On saturday I was taken to do a laparoscapy to find I have endometriosis on my uterus (he was able to perform laser surgery to remove as much as poss) after the op I was told I would need to take a injection (implant) to stop my cycle completely so I get Menopause for 6 months!!!!

I dunno...I thought ppl had better chance of pregnancy after the lap??

Any advice will be appriciated...i'm just trying to understand all of this :cry:

I dont have any advice, but I have heard of that before. In those cases I think the endo was pretty severe and they were hoping that would clear it up. Was he able to get it all or was there alot left?

Hello there,
I don't have any advice, but I'll share my story with you. I have had PCOS for 7 years now.
I too have had a lap with endo... Last year in March.
I had no cycle until November, and then it stopped again. I went back to my DR in January and received the news I was expecting! No clomid, no metformin. Just know that it does
There is always hope :)

Hi, I had my lap a couple of weeks ago, they found some endo (which they removed), and I am now experiencing constant spotting. I was due to get AF a couple of days after the procedure but it hasn't arrived yet, which is really beggining to annoy me. Have you had spotting since sat? I am yet to have my followup appt, have to wait 4 weeks!!!! But the surgeon never said I would need to go on something to go into Meonopause. She said the next 3 months are the best chance you will get. It baffles me that the medical profession are constantly contradicting themselves! And all the while use TTC'ers are completely confused... Hope the lap works for you hun :)

Thanks for replying...no i had no spotting at all since the lap. I was under the impression that after the lap was a higher chance to conceive. i'm not getting why he's putting me on the hormonal implant straight away to stop everything. Ye i'm the same my follow up appointment is just wen I have to have the injection. I dunno maybe he has a good reason to put me on this drug but I just hope it doesnt spoil my chances.

I was given the similar advice after my surgery, I also have Endometriosis. However my Dr. said i have the best chance of conceiving naturally in the 6 months post op, then i'm back to see him to discuss more options.

I also didn't have any scarring due to the endo, so my case isn't as severe as some.

I have definately heard other ladies on baby and bump who are going throught the same thing, they were getting injections to make their body think they are going through menopause. Your definately not the only one. I don't have much advice, but I hope this speed bump gets you closer to your BFP!

So what do you guys think, if I still haven't had AF and the spotting has stopped, does that mean I am still likely to fall preg? I am thinking not, as it would mean that my lining still hasn't shed and wouldn't be ready... we have started BD'ing again, but I am worried I might miscarry if I do fall preg??? AAAAH, so confused!!

I just had my surgery 3 weeks ago and I was told that I should take metformin for the PCOS. I am so nervous that it wont be that easy... :/

Well no luck for me ladies, I am off to see the IVF specialist today, to begin our new journey! Hope you have all had more luck than me... baby dust xx
