Hiya

I juts had a lap and had a cyst and endo between my bladder and uterus treated. I was sore for about 5 days after - but absolutely ok if I was lying around - the pain wasn't too bad at all. I did have a horrid reaction to the anaesthetic and was sick but they gave me an anti-sickness injection which sorted me out quickly.

Good luck with yours! Will be worth it when you get your BFP! xxx

Hello, I just had a lap on Friday and it was not nearly as bad as I had expected!! I had an HSG in October, which revealed a hydrosalpinx on the right tube. However, when they got in there, there was no hydrosalpinx. They did discover a little bit of endo, a couple small cysts at the end of the tube and a little endo on one of the ovaries. The Dr. said that following lap - you are super fertile - as all has been cleared out of the way.

The scars are minimal and I have very little pain at the incision sites. Internally, I feel a little bruised. And, I should mention I do NOT have a high pain tolerance, so was shocked. I took the percocet they prescribed for 48 hours and that was all that was needed. The worst thing for me was getting over the anesthesia. Again, nothing terrible, but it has been 6 days and I still feel just a little bit fuzzy. I am functioning fine - just tiring easily, etc. I honestly wish I would've had the lap done a long time ago....I put it off for MONTHS because I was so worried, but it was not nearly as bad as I had made it out to be in my mind!! GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!

So interesting Mamabee

hsg and ultrasound show I have a left hydrosalpinx - going for lap feb 23 to remove the tube (doc mentioned it could be a cyst causing the fluid - never heard of this) I will have to wait until the lap on feb 23 to find out. I hope I have as good of news as you have received.

Thanks for sharing your experience. All the best for a speedy bfp!

Hi
I had a lap in November. It was on a Monday, but I'm forgetting the date.
I sat up at dinner the same night as surgery, but rested taking several naps throughout that week, was back at work by the following Monday (though walking a little slow) The main word I'd use to describe it is "tender". It was not as nearly as bad as I thought it would be. We could ttc again at the top of the 4th week and just took it a little easy.
Good luck! I'm sure you'll be just fine.

hi i am due to have a lap and dye on the 2nd feb.....sooooooooooooo nervous!!!! but after 17mths of ttc with not a sniff of a BFP and symptoms of endo ( low back pain, spotting b4 periods, painful sex, pain when emptying bowel, bloated tummy all the time, clots in period, very painful periods ) i think its time they go in & have a look 4 me. xxx

due to have a lap on 22nd of Feb, first op, very nervous but also keen to get on with it so we can move on, been ttc for nearly 2 years now, good luck, let us know how it goes hun xxx

Thanks you guys afor all the love and support that you give..im wishing all of us bfp very soon..this is our year ladies:happydance:

I had a lap for endometriosis removal two years ago and it was heaven compared to the operation I had to re-break my broken nose!

I had some cramping after the lap for about 5 days as everything was newly shifting around but other than that, just fine!
